Sooooo… when is this being fixed? Im guessing never, knowing the history of forza…it happens randomly in the lobbies online, picking cars.
Yes, it seems to be happening more now. It’s doing it while playing career mode as well as online. In the last 3 days it’s happened 6 times.
It’s been there since the game came out, the random kicking to dashboard.
But what about paintjobs? Yesterday i found myself in a lobby with nothing but stock green astons, the designs didn’t load. That was new to me in forza 5. People you see quit at the start are suddenly mentioned in the event results page with lap and end time and you didn’t even see them in the race.
And what about ‘voice lag’ in game chat? Party chat is ok but game chat Max Headroom is present a lot of the time. And lag in general? it all seems to get worse?
Apparently joining party game is an adventure too. It seems to be a different procedure everytime. Even without being in a party you get the join partygame feature, or a wrong party.
I wonder if more people are experiencing these things? or am i the only victim?
I’ve experienced all of the above as well. The paint thing used to happen in FM4 as well, back then it was a sure sign that the game was about to freeze and it was time to leave the lobby and start again.
All of the above… also you are unable to vote to kick or mute anymore. That will end up with dashboard…
Well you can select the persons profile and mute them in chat off the dashboard and that doesnt kick you, the vote to kick has been there since the start so everyone knows not to use that and CTD happens on lots of games, I had it on Watchdogs aswell as Forza, this is a trait of the new console being more like a PC …
It wont be fixed. Forza are releasing a new game called Horizon 2.
This is old hat to them now.
Shame because i hate buying broken games that never gets fixed.
I wont make the same mistake twice.
A year turnaround between games is a clear indicator of what to expect.
This time next year, everyone will be moaning about the problems with Horizon 2 not being fixed and forza will be pushing out number 6.
Seems forza is following the gaming bandwagon.

Turn 10 aren’t making Horizon 2, that is being handled by a UK studio called Playground Games, so that means that Turn 10 are working on the genuine Forza games, now to what percentage between 5 and 6 we will never know but we do know they are working on 5 as there are still car packs and a recently revealed “Unannounced Track” coming within the month
Now I am in no way condoning the state Forza is in and I have been an advocate of the rubbish quality of particular areas of the game on some posts, but there comes a point that you have to accept it and take away that it is still a pretty solid game and is still playable, Hopefully Forza 6 irons out the kinks although I am waiting for an exciting game coming in November
Bdr daz… get your head out of the sand. This game has a hell of alot problems that need addressing. While you say there still focusing on this game that isnt the truth. If they have how come a big percentage of the community are being dashboarded and losing cars? This is supposed be bxt gen isnt it… apart from shiny graphics in vista this game is worst than fm4. The physics are sharper yet still feel like your cars are understeering on ice. A stock r35 is one of the best handling cars ever yet on this in stock form its so sloppy and underated… bargeing its way around corners. But instead of focusing on fm5 and patching things to give the fans the best experience on nxt gen they produce fh2 take more profit from blind gamers. Im a longtime forza fan but what they are doin is wrong. I mean fh2 comes out fall with dynamic weather… well why not release fm5 later in the year and put it in this game rather than money make every year by copy and paste… you are right tho i am looking forward to something exciting in november… its called PROJECT CARS…
Sorry folks to say this but wait and see. They have have relaesed fh 2 to distract their fans from project cars. Open your eyes guys t10 are becoming ea… fact

My head ain’t in the sand, I know there problems and have been vocal on here with my gripes on the game
If they weren’t still focusing on the game then why is there still DLC coming out and fixes included in the patches…as I said, welcome to Next Gen where crash to dash happens on most games!
The physics are what they are, we have to work with what we got, yes I wish it was more Sim but like any business they are going for the money…
And yet again Forza Horizon 2 IS NOT being developed by Turn 10 it is another developer making it. I said the same about the weather but we need to remember that F5 is running at a locked in 60fps 1080p where as FH2 will only run at 30fps,
As for the “why not bring it out later in the year” they had a contract that it was a launch title, that wasn’t an option

Shiney gtaphics doesnt make a game playable.
Until direct competition launches for Forza Motorsport 5 on the xbone there is no point in making comparisons. Enjoy what we have (as best you can). Another track means I have to eat my words cos I reckoned new tracks were all done for FM5. I hope to goodness it’s a doozy. Even so I can’t see how I will make the game stretch until November 2015. Unless there is a quantum leap in graphic quality for FH2 I will give it a miss, making it the first Forza game I will not buy. The original FH fell at the first sight of the cockpit view.

Lets break this down and the definition of the word “Produce” and that is :
So I think you will find the Producer is the Developer and that is Playground
The Publisher just to throw it out there is Microsoft Studios … The only input Turn 10 have in the process is to allow Playground to use the engine and assets they need to make Horizon
So in the fact of “Doing research” I think you will still find you are wrong 
The fact is they are still working on Forza 5 (Hence the DLC and track like I said) they will move onto the next project when they are ready and probably some of the studio is already working on (Which it doesn’t take a genius to work out will be Forza 6)
Did I say everything is fine, no far from it but it is what it is, you can whine and moan all you like but like the hundreds before us (Yes I said us because I have moaned a lot on there too) its not going to change, it is what it is, if you dont like is dont play …
Its the only “Decent” racer we have on the One so IMO we have no choice until November

Oh sorry we have already got it… i do agree with you on one thing tho it is the best racer we have on nxt gen but when ea ufc comes out it will be in the cupboard gathering dust. even tho thats not promising.

I didnt play Horizon, I wont play Horizon 2, just like you I prefer proper racing games and not arcade, I disagree that Forza 5 is a Sim, its been dumbed down too much for the masses to be called a true Sim, I am with you on waiting for Project Cars, from everything that has been showed its going to blow Forza 5 out of the water and its the kick up the Bum Turn 10 need to stop being complacent
For now though Forza 5 is all we have so we need to make the best of a bad situation

And I can completely agree with this post, I want the same thing, Forza was the main game I bought an Xbox 360 for and the same for the Xbox One but the One decision has been a huge let down, one of my main gripes is the fact that you cant be fast in P class unless you shell out for VIP to gt the 787B, that is just plain wrong, I think when Forza 6 comes around I think I will be renting first
This random kick to dashboard is still happening to me today. There was a hot fix for it but didn’t work for me. The day one xbox seems to be having problems with hot fixes for many games… such as forza and halo.
^^ Here are some tips:

Keep console on Energy Saving

Always power up/down using the power button on console. Turn off the power brick as well between sessions.

Play your games first after a fresh boot up, before anything else.

After a session or two, clear your Persistent Storage and Alternate MAC Address.

Clear Local Saved Games after every couple of sessions (though, you may have to wait several minutes for your game saves to sync, depending on your connection…don’t hit cancel!!)
-
Keep all apps closed and have no processes running in the background while gaming.
