Racing Wheel XBOX one and cockpit. A veritable plethora of questions....

Well I am going to build this cockpit…

I am considering buying the Thustmaster TX wheel. However I don’t really like the pedals at all. Plus I will want the shifter when it comes out. Are the T500 pedals interchangable and will it still work with FFB? I saw a couple folks mention a load cell thingamabob. Difficult to get working? Also if you make any mods like this does it make it NOT plug and play with the xbox one?
Thanks!
Chris

You can use the T500 pedals with the TX wheel. Darin over at Inside Sim Racing uses the T500 pedals a lot with the TX wheel. As for the load cell mod, it is an aftermarket mod for the pedals that allows the brake pedal to work by pressure as compared to using muscle memory for the optimum braking point.

Cool thanks - that muscle memory thing is hard for me… I might look into that! IN 4 months when I have it built  heh heh

Havent been too pleased with the thrustmaster reviews. Anyone heard anything about a fanatec wheel coming out? I am not too impressed with the xbox one wheel offerings so far…

Fanatec on there website says there will be a wheel comeing out but will not release a date but it says the pedals from existing wheels will be compatible with new wheel and previous customers who bought wheels for 360 will get discount.

I honestly don’t think that Fanatec will produce a wheel for Xbox One. It looks as if their primary focus right now is providing add ons for the existing wheel bases they offer.

Given the lack of info I am not overly surprised by that feeling…
thanks!
Chris

Cool! I have my cockpit and seat on the way so not gonna wait around too long. Just need to decide between the thrustmaster vg and tx at this point. I see that for both of them there is either love it or hate it… does not appear to be a middle ground. I am thinking TX sine it will eventually have a clutch…

I use the T500 pedals with my TX 458 Italia. I did look at getting a load cell (as I don’t like using muscle memory either) but after reading some reviews, got the basherboards bushing mod. It works a treat - I’ve been able to move up a Drivitar difficulty in races just by being able to brake consistently.

Basherboards bushing mod… gotta look that up! thanks for the tip

The Ricmotech T500 loadcell mod looks nice. I’d consider it if I had the pedal set.

The Sim Pit likes it…
