[RACE] D SILVARUs paint shop. - UPDATED

Hey I’ve been dabbling with painting on and off since fm4 but I think I’m starting to get the hang of it. I mostly do relics/ worn races cars. Nothing too extravagant just simple clean paints that look good.

Let me know what you guys think (:

Criticism is more than welcome lol

Really nice 'Stang mate. Looks very authentic and suits the period, without the hint that it’s the actual Hotwheels Mustang.

I’ve grab this and will be adding it to my cars for use on Indy, Daytona, Rd Atlanta, Limerock, VIR and Bathurst. Some tight tracks with alternating terrain that’ll suit the car nicely. Plus make some great photo ops

Keep ‘em comin’ mate…

Edit:- oh, thanks for NOT colour coding the rims. There’s times that just polished alloy or magnesium wheels are the best suited, as the focus is then on the cars livery, and not overshadowed by the brightly coloured rims. I dislike the matte black rims intensely, but they do belong on certain cars. But I usually look for liveries with unchanged rim colours.

That allows me to them change rims and keep the factory finish.

See if you can find dome pics of the Leo Geoghegan Mustangs that raced in Australia in the 70’s-early 80’s. It’d suit the '64-65 'Stangs nicely.

The brothers, Leo and Peter raced the Valiant Pacers, as well as the 'Stangs. They were part of our early racing history. Well worth a look.

Shame we don’t have any Mopars that resemble the fabled Chrysler Valiant VF Six Pac HEMI 265cu in Pavers. Awesome cars.

The brothers lived just down the road from my girlfriend when I was just in my late teens early 20’s… Those were the fun days…

Saw a real live Ford GT 40 today getting slipped up onto a trailer.

Man are those things LOW… It barely came up to the guys waist. Insanity looking in solid black, with a logo on drivers door.

Didn’t have time to stop to grab a happy-snap :crying_cat_face::crying_cat_face::sob:

Made my day though, damn amazing cars. Had the exhaust exiting through the rear mesh in quad exhaust tips that were square in shape. Suited the car much better than the round ones some use.

I’ll check them out and maybe try to replicate them.

I got to see a nice gt40 replica last year at a car show nearby. Everyone kept saying " awesome gt500 man" I just looked over at the owner and he was shaking his head lol but yeahh that thing was crazy low.

If you get a chance read Go Like Hell its about the ford Ferrari rivalry and the gt40 … Really good read!!

There’s some nice working here D I like your style

Yes, sometimes the old adage rings true… KISS. = ‘Keep It Simple Silly’ …

Like these simple, yet also intricate designs which may look easy to some, but take a dedicated eye.

Some really nice simple classic points mate. All worthy of downloading and liking to give you a few extra credits. We could all do with more credits (cough cough) hehehe…

Love all the little dots on the Stang spread around the rear of the car, and the soft shadowing of the recessing section on the rides. Ever do subtle, but there just to show off the body lines no doubt??

Keep the simple ones coming.

The BMW looks cool. No sponsors, but fool base just the same. Nice and dimple. Will certainly stand out in the crowd.
