Question for Devs: '16 vs '19 GT3 RS stock handling differences?

The differences in handling of these 2 cars (when stock) are staggering… How is it so? Albeit the gen 2 has 20hp more than the gen 1, but they share the same chassis and steering input; yet the gen 2 handles so much worse than the gen 1. Everything is practically identical between these 2 cars, thus I can’t help but think the devs had really messed up the gen 2 physics.

The '16 (gen 1) is so planted and balanced, doesn’t have any body roll, and it gives a solid rear engine feel. On the other hand, the '19 (gen 2) jiggles all over the shop like it’s running on jello. It takes some tuning to mirror the gen 1 handling on the gen 2; some rear toe-in and fatter tires seem to do the trick. Nonetheless, the stock handling of these 2 cars should be the same.

Thoughts anyone? I’ve noticed this since the car got added into the game, but was too lazy to share with anyone until now. I hope at least a dev will be reading this…

anything said here is hardly considered as valuable information. You can take your chance and log a ticket or try to contact those guys on Discord if you get there at the right time.

Your comparison implies you are race car fan and FH focus at the moment is more … 6 wheels trucks

Have you driven either of these cars in real-life?

If you’re bombing round ‘normal’ roads (not a track) at 10/10 attack and the ‘19 has 20bhp more than the ‘16 then I can imagine it would feel more ‘twitchy’.

Only ever tracked bikes myself, but if I was doing laps on my ‘Blade and someone bolted on a supercharger for a 20bhp boost between sessions I imagine it would feel ‘a bit twitchy’ after.

Sounds like you’ve tuned it out anyway. Maybe the ‘19 model needs £20k spent on it to do what you need it to?
