I can not play the forza 5 game (the download version) that came with the xbox one forza 5 bundle. Whenever I try to play it, it just goes back to home screen after a few minutes. The xbox one rep told me that I need to get xbox live gold to play forza 5. Is that true? It never said that in the bundle I bought. Thanks.
Hey while I’m not sure if you actually need XBL to access fm5, I wouldn’t of thought so, I would expect you to be able to play it but you wouldn’t be able to connect to online without XBL, I could only see the game not starting due to a fault, try holding down the xbox button on front of console for 7-10 sec till it turns off, unplug console from power brick and wait a couple of min then reconnect and try again. I didn’t realize they still sold this bundle.
This is the bundle I bought in March and I didn’t have any problems downloading and playing Forza 5. I did have Gold right away though because my bundle came with a free 3 day xbl code along with the game code.
Did your bundle not come with that also? It was on a separate paper.
Best bet is to try what the person above said, or delete and reinstall the game.
You probably need Gold for the digital download of the game. I don’t know if you can purchase and download games on demand without Gold, but that might be your problem. Your Bundle should have came with a Gold trial. Most usually do.
