So as you know every so often the game tells you about a new drivatar you can challenge and recruit.
When you beat them the game shows you their card with their stats and an image at the top.
Some images seem to be large avatars taking up the hole area given and other times it is a tiny gamertag picture.
I want to know how I can view and possibly change the image associated with my drivatar and their card.
The little pictures are the old 360 ones and from what I can see of the card all you can do is view their profile so I suspect you’re stuck with them. Of course if they’re worth keeping in your lineup then they must have played the game so you could give them a gentle nudge to update their picture to a “proper one”
I’d like to know if there’s anyway to influence which recruits you do get? I’ve gone through 20+ targets so far and not a single one has played the game despite me having a whole bunch of friends that have. Rock bottom stats across the board.
Why can’t we just recruit those we race on the open road? The event is exactly the same but currently it always picks the absolute worst opponent to recruit. If you could recruit any face off opponent it allows you to hunt down your friends or take pot shots at randoms in the hope that they’re the golden ticket and then it’s fun. Currently it’s just a repetitive waste of time. At this point I’m only doing them to get rid of the marker and with a diminishing hope that the next one will be different. Top tip: it never is.
A great idea. Really poor implementation (even worse than getting 2k from 6 out of 8 consecutive wheelspins… the other 2 were 5k just to rub it in! Wahoo!)
Raising your Drivatar difficulty might help improve your odds of a better Drivatar, though it’s not a guarantee. But it would probably help! Of course, I don’t know what difficulty you do, but if it’s an easier one, that may explain why you’re getting poor recruits. Hope this advice helps!
Interesting theory. Difficulty is usually between Highly Skilled and Pro (depends on mood and car :-)) but it’s always the same. Level 1 friends that have never played FH3 so minimum stats. Out of interest I bumped it up to Unbeatable for a while, no change, still just Level 1 opposition. Oddly out of the 30ish I’ve now done there is a lone level 9 opponent that popped up, the only one that has any kind of stats and also the only one that isn’t on my friends list :-s
It’s been the same since these thing launched back in Motorsport 5, it’s just a complete random dump of a drivatar from your friends list. No attempt to “curate” that list, no thoughts that maybe it should favour drivatars for people that actually play the game, or those friends you have as favourites, or even those you actually play the game online with. Nope, always just a bunch of the random names you’ve acquire playing unrelated games.
At the other end of the scale my daughter playing on New Racer found me as her first target. I’ve clocked up 2m xp, 8m credits and 15m fans so at least she’s got off to a decent start. Her friends list is much smaller so her odds were better.
I guess my luck just isn’t in. I could always just bin half my friends list to improve the odds but we shouldn’t have to. On the plus side I don’t recall seeing any duplicates come up so hopefully it’ll eventually get to the friends I’d actually want to recruit. In the meantime I’ll just put up with RNG that makes Destiny look generous.
The bottom line really is why would the game even offer up opponents that have never played it ahead of those that do? It really doesn’t make for a satisfying experience.
I think I got it.
I thought the large drivatar icons were something you could make like you do with decals and such but poking around my xbox/Live profile it seems like those are the new profile/avatar pictures.
If you are in a club and it has enough members, most of these “candidate” drivatars will be from the club.
Still doesn’t explain why the game at some point (when you are high level, say 100+) mostly throw at you drivatars with low stats.
And yes, it would be better if they spawned in the area you are currently driving, similar to “credit” drivatars.
Also beating these drivatars is never very challenging making it more of a bore and a chore than anything.
When you pick up your daily drivatar rewards it tells you how many lineups you’re racing in and whether you’ve been hired or fired since the last time.
Where do I pick up drivatar awards? I haven’t seen such thing in FH3 yet. I am currently at level 70.
I do now drivatar awards in FM6 and i got lots of it, but I don’t see anything about it in FH3.
Okay guys … a little tip for you if you want to have some more prolific drivatars to challenge and recruit … for the most part, the drivatars that are presented to you are from your friends list. There may be some others from clubs or just random drivatars, but most are from your friends.
Here’s the tip … it doesn’t matter whether or not they have accepted you as a friend … all that matters is that they’re on your list. If you want more prolific drivatars, search the leaderboards and add top drivers as friends. All four of the drivatars in my lineup are leveled well into the hundreds and all have lifetime XP earnings well over 2 million each. They also have a combined 48 million fans.
The lifetime earnings of credits, XP and fans of your drivatar lineup determines in part the amount of bonuses that you get from racing and completing events with a drivatar lineup.
