PTG CUP: Round 2 Sebring - 1st May

PTG are hosting another GT Championship after the first one was a great success. This Championship will separate the men from the boys, so if you like all your assists on, this is not the Championship for you. All skill levels welcome as long as you are a clean racer, and be fair. This is a great way to get used to no assists, no line etc. Throw you in the deep end and you won’t look back i promise!

Start date: Friday 24th April 2015
Start time: 10pm UK

Basic rules:

Qualifying:

A 3 lap run, with all cars ghosted, and a 2 second roll off delay. Full sim damage is on, so be careful. Pits are open if required.

Fastest clean lap is your qualifying time.

Be gentlemen, and space out to avoid being distracted/distracting other drivers.

Start procedure:

Once the qualifying round is complete, after a 5 minute brake, the race lobby will start.

Nobody is to leave the start line until instructed to do so by the lobby host.

You are to proceed around the track in grid order, and form up in your grid slot.

REMEMBER DAMAGE IS ON, SO ANY CONTACT ON THE PARADE LAP RESULTING IN DAMAGE WILL DISADVANTAGE YOU IN THE RACE.

Race:

The race will last approximately 40 minutes.

All drivers are required to pit once in the race. You cannot pit on lap 1, and you cannot put on the last lap of the race.

Keep contact to a minimum. Any incidents that require attention will be reviewed after the race on the replay.

Cars being lapped are expected to not interfere with the lapping cars.

Collisions are ALWAYS ON, so if you need to pull over, stay well away from the track.

1 point awarded for fastest clean lap.

Restrictions:
• Mandatory builds

ALL [PTG] team members must display a Thrustmaster logo visibly on the car.

Do you have to be registered with PTG to compete in the series?

It would help as you can pick up a race number and there’s a lot of chat about the event there. You’ll also be able to see when we are getting on for practice and see how people are getting on choosing cars.

But I’m not going to force anyone to sign up to any site. If your interested in joining the racing but not the site, let me know what race number you want and I’ll register it on PTG forum.

Hi, I’m keen as mustard to join in on these races. I will look at joining the web site.
Live in Australia so would be a 7am Saturday start for me.
Race number 105 racing under TPR (Tiger Performance Racing)

Sorted WoodLizard. I’ve reserved your number so no need to do that yourself if you do join the forum.

We have at least one more from Upsidedownworld. PTG Curtis is also form Australia.

In the interest of equality- the PTG team have seen this - here’s my high-tech spreadsheet I used when setting up.

All cars were tested over the same amount of laps, using the same lobby setting we will be using for the series.

They were tested over 3 tracks:

Spa
Mazda
Silverstone

I’m surprised no-ones tried the Aston Martin yet…

Ive chosen the C7 - but will be running about 1.5 - 2 seconds a lap slower than usual as on the wheel.

Hey guys, been looking for a series just like this for a long time. I figure I’ll build one of each car for some testing tonight to choose which works best for me, however it’s looking like it’ll probably be the M3. As for number, I’d like to reserve either 05 or 005 if they’re available. Located East Coast USA btw.

You welcome to join. Hope you enjoy.

Unfortunately #5 is taken. You can view the available numbers here:

http://pendulumtuning.freeforums.org/driver-numbers-reserve-yours-t1377.html

Just let me know which you want.

Oh I see now, thanks, I’ll take #055 then since it’s free.

And car selection will be the Shelby GT500. Odd choice for me because I was really leaning toward the Ferrari (momentum cars being my niche), but it should be fun to get out of my element some.

Added. It’s all yours.

Was playing with the setup on this car and it’s going to be a lot of fun. Random online lobby went to Nürburgring GP and even thought it’s not top of A Class it still pulled out a pretty commanding lead. Can’t wait to get in some practice sessions to see how it stacks up against real drivers with y’all!

You’ll have to send me a FR Hatemaker - as we get closer to the first race, we’ll start running some practice races to get people used to the cars, and each other.

If anyone running in the series wants the kit then message me.

I’ll definitely hit you up, and tomorrow (Monday) I’ll post some livery shots of the GT500. I used the number boards and rear template as much as I could.

@ace great kit bud I’ll take one but not for the race  I’m in the cs360
Looking forward to this here’s my paint so far

Also got this spare if anyone needs it

Most of the PTG lot will be running practice this week so if you see them on jump in I’ll be there keeping a close eye on the back of the pack !

Very nice ace - that kit would make my paint look much better.

Does this mean you’ll be joining us?

Yes, I’ll be joining. Sign me up for driving a C7. As for your vette, just let me know the color of the base and I’ll put up the kit as a layer group.

Cheers Ace, I’ll enter you in.

Would the kit fit on this paint?
