Prologue way too long

The prologue is a bit long for returning Horizon players, taking you through each season before you can ‘unlock’ Horizon Live.

As you hit Autumn you unlock the AutoShow, plus the Ultimate Edition cars. Using the Zonda R FE I ignored the events and went straight onto the speed zones and speed traps. Using the relatively high amount of influence they award you can power through each season in just over 30 minutes. It’s worth a look if you would like to finish the prologue quickly.

Please don’t do that for the next game.

I’m 5h into the game and I only just got to prologue spring. I just want to play the full game already !!!

What do you consider the full game?

when you unlock everything (multiplayer, clubs, etc.)

Many games have things locked behind progression. It gives players a reason to play the regular game, otherwise many like you would skip it. I enjoy working for that final “payday” to get all the extras I earned.

Agree, the last few hours of it were a grind

Yes. That IS what the game WANTS you to do. That and buying cars which takes 8 years per car.

I’m convinced that FH5 would really benefit from 2 separate game modes. I don’t play online much so I would prefer a longer career type mode personally with more gradual unlocking, but I also understand that others just want to get online ASAP and start hooning around and don’t really care for game progression.

Instead of the poor compromise we have now, it seems like there could be separate career and multiplayer modes like we had in FH1.

I love it. It could be 50 hours and I wouldn’t complain. So much to do. I love the game design this time. They really knocked it out of the park in my opinion. Most of the issues I had with the demo are non existent in the full game (although I can’t run Precision X in the background now even though I could in the demo). Might be the nicest looking game I’ve ever seen on my PC and it runs great.

It was too long. If they truly intended you to take your time with it, they shouldn’t have locked certain features. If you could progress to the next season after you unlocked or finished the seasonal showcase then it would have been much smoother.

I really feel the opposite, something about it feels shallow, the way you progress doesn’t have a solid structure. That’s fine if you don’t care about that but ever since I finished the prologue I feel almost bored. I’ve already “finished” the road racing series, which took no time at all, and since I can’t make custom championships, doing an event for the sake of it doesn’t feel special in the slightest.

I could go on and on but I wont. FH3 nearly perfected it for me so naturally I’m going to nitpick this anyway.

i consider the “prologue” to be the full game and the rest is the end game stuff. to each their own I guess

Why are people in such a rush. Enjoy it, chill. You won’t be getting another Horizon game for 2-3yrs.

The prologue is literally just the start. Yea you unlock some things after but it’s nowhere near the end.

I’m glad this game is full of content & not in a rush. It’s one of the few games worth it’s money.

Lovin the game, 9hrs in and still in prolog lol. No cares given tbh, I’m just exploring, painting and tuning. Loving the new Escort RS too!!!

If you do bonus board, beauty spot, barn finds … in addition of races, the prologue is not much on a grind. I reached prologue spring in 2 play sessions (and I enjoyed both of them)
Remeber to progress in all parts of horizon life to add variety to the prologue races.

I actually enjoy the length of the prologue

Prologue was amazing! I wouldn’t appriciate shorter one. I am new to Forza Horizon series and its the best racing game for me. <3
