All photos have been moved to flickr and will be on flickr here on out. I didn’t know so many people had a problem with photobucket. Honestly to me it didn’t matter. However my titles will still be in photobucket as flickr does not like transparent backgrounds.
If it didn’t matter than it shows how much effort you like to put into this. Wouldn’t you want it in the best quality? Photobucket is the worst out of the 3 big image hosting services. Over 3/4 of the photographers on Forza uses Flickr. It enhances the photos, and doesn’t compress them as bad as Photobucket. Also Flickr does like transparent .PNG images. You have to select “original” image to get the benefit from it. If you look in my first page gallery. It’s transparent in curtain areas while using Flickr. Yeah it sounds like I’m being mean. But that’s just how I typed it.

@DJLime …Ok well I am sorry to have upset you. I am sorry for not putting all my time and effort into this. Obviously this means a great deal to you and the rest of the people on here so I changed the photo service i am using. That was not a 5 minute job by the way. And now when I upload every single picture I upload with Flickr I have to remove lines of code so that ONLY the picture is seen and not the lines of code sticking out of it. So that adds about 10 seconds to each photo I upload. But I don’t have a problem doing it. I want people to be happy with what I am doing here. I understand the compression thing, I know the difference, I can tell the difference. I just honestly find it easier to upload with Photobucket rather then Flickr. To me the loss of quality is minimal Vs. the time I save uploading with Photobucket. As to the transparent pictures, I know what your saying but Flickr does not like my lettering systems transparency, the old Flickr use to but the new one does not. I use .PNG and it still greys out the background around the letters. I have not figured out a way around that yet but when I do I will use Flickr for that as well. I will try to do better in the future, I am sorry for having upset and disappointed you and the rest of the community.
Great change. The thing is with photobucket, is that it compresses the files alot, taking away alot of quality. Thats why some of them where looking a bit blurred.

Its not hard to copy the code for the images. Open up the picture, at the bottom right of the picture around the black border, there should be an arrow like shape that is pointing down, click that and select “View all sizes.” From there, find what size you want to use, I would recommend 800x450, and then just right click and “copy image url.” Put the img tags around the link and then your done. For the quality difference, i think its worth it.
Glad you took the time, and I appreciate it because I know how long it must have took to upload every single picture again, and repost them.
I just want this to be enjoyed by all. And for those that contribute to it, I want them to know that it will be wroth it in the end. To be able to have their stamp on a reference such as this. To know that every car has been on every track and to know what that looks like in Forza 5. (Not saying this has not already happened just not tracked) It also shows the power and beauty of this game. No matter what else happens I still think that no matter if I have to take all the rest of the pictures myself, I know it will be worth it.
You are being to down on yourself, It’s not as bad as your making it out to be, not even close really. You’re off to a good start, think of it as some constructive criticism.

I was actually curious as to why you didn’t just copy my PM I sent you earlier so all you had to do was take out the stuff I commented on. I’m guessing that your going to be hosting the photos on a special account for this then? And not just grabbing the links from other peoples accounts from what I thought? But the thing that got me was how degraded the photos were until I noticed it was from Photobucket. I just hate Photobucket as to how bad the photos can look compared to other sites, and whats on your computer. Even Imageshack has less compression than Photobucket which is quiet odd actually.
With a massive project like this where your going to have over 5,000 photos. A lot of us Forza Photographers would like to atleast have it on the best image hosting site. If not I can see a lot of them just turning away. I don’t know if this issue still happens since I left Photobucket around 2010. But there was also a limit of how many photos you can host on one account compared to Flickr allowing you 1TB of space.

Since I’m typing this. I got a question about the designs/tunes side of things. Let’s say someone grabbed the Subaru BRZ which Hotrod picked. Can anyone else post a design for the BRZ? or is it limited to one person only? I’m curious on this due to having a design on two cars I wouldn’t mind putting in this project.

Yes I have a Forza 5 flickr for this and I use that to post the pictures here so they are all coming from the same source. I didnt want to use pictures from ten different sources so I collect them all on one just to make it more uniform. most of the pictures I get are from the Forza gallery so I need to put them elsewhere to input them into the thread. I could hotlink galleries but then I don’t think the thread would look as good with just all hotlinks to everyone’s galleries.
As for your question about the paints. Only one per car and one tune per car, I don’t want someone to have to grab five paints for one car off the Forza 5 storefronts. Asking for 18 photos of one car for most people is a lot already I just want to keep things to a minimum. BUT if you were to shoot a car and wanted to use ten different paints on a car then be my guest. Just give credit for each paint you use. I just don’t want to spend ten hours listing paints and tunes for the same car and then hotlinking to ten different people for the same car. I want it to be fun enjoyable and easy. This is a massive project and I didn’t want to get in over my head. This is also the first time I attempt this. If it goes well I plan on doing this for every series that comes. So Horizon 2, Forza 6 and so on.
