you know what I mean? if the last on the graph is 300kmh an you put the 6th gear on this line, you will not reach 300in 6th but 250 so you need to go out op the graph to reach the 300kmh.

I have a similar issue where I move the final gear ratio to change the gears as a whole and the graph visually changes by moving the gears. After the race I go and check the gears again and the final gear ratio I changed has remained, but now all the gears are off the graph again. I then change the final gear again, race, return and the same thing, the final gear ratio has remained as I left it, but the gears on the graph are off the graph again.

so and when you make the gears shorter until the line of 6th gear ends on 217 the car is doing something around 180miles. so the graph is not showing the exact speedâ€¦

its working correctly, the speed is the speed of the gears, not the car.

That car My guess is a Dodge viper and its power is in the lower revs. So when you tuned it to have a max speed of 217, you are actually making the gearing have a max speed of 217. The car cannot go that fast for that long of a gear and it looses power and speed because its not a peak power and or its underpowered for that gear.

The gearing can be too long. I can make a gear so long its top speed it 285mph but if the cars power and or drag is too much the cars top speed is lower because of the lower revs and thus lower power thus lower top speed.

In this case the gearing is too long for its power/drag. If the gearing is showing more speed than the car can do, shorten your gears. If the gearing is showing the same speed as what the car can do make the gearing longer.

Yes what he said. The graph is the pure calculation of geared speed assuming unlimited power and no drag. The actual top speed takes those two things into account.

The graph isnâ€™t scaled correctly, the 217 number should read 180.

There was another post about this a while back that explains the problem better.

The car can do 202mph (as shown), the graph shows the top of 5th (if the car could get there is 217), when in fact the top of 6th was around 202 in game and the top of 5th was around 180mph in game.

6th gear will not hit the top of the gear and also the very top speed of the car is not at the top of any gear.

But you are correct The graph isnâ€™t scaled correctly, the 217 number should read about 190-195.
