Got my copy pre-ordered at GameStop today, all thanks to that E3 trailer; Now waiting for a confirmation of a LCE version so I can go ahead and upgrade it!
Pre-ordered last week, and haven’t changed my mind, but the hype train so far is starting to make me rethink it. It’s starting to sound like some kind of a H1/FM5 hype train hybrid, and that’s starting to give me an unsettled feeling of “here we go again”. I may end up agreeing with you in the long run.
Just curious, but why is it a bad idea when you usually don’t have to put any deposit down? It’s literally just reserving yourself a copy which you can cancel if you later feel it’s a bad idea. I don’t think the use of an imperative directed at other players is merited on this occasion.
It’s a bad idea because in a month or two we’ll get three million “I’m cancelling my pre-order” threads because people feel like their enthusiasm for the game and willingness to commit so early makes their disappointment more meaningful than other people’s.
And it wasn’t entirely meant as an imperative, more of an understood (I’d) wait for more information. But text isn’t that great at implying tone or anything.
That, and there really is no reason to pre-order this early other than to say that you’ve done it.
I have a question regarding pre-ordering does everyone get all three cars shown at the end of the E3 trailer or will there be different cars based on where you purchase the game. See screen crab from the trailer below
We have not heard anything about retail-specific pre-order bonuses. The best thing you can do is to stay tuned to the ForzaMotorsport.netnews section for any updates on the pre-order program.
I have pre-ordered FH2 and another game and will upgrade both to the Limited Editions once the option is available. The pre-orders do not cost me anything and can be cancelled any time prior to shipping if need be so no harm done in pre-ordering.
