How little you know about what is actually quite a frequent issue on the xbox one.
Example - I played Battlefield 4 and got 45 headshots in the level you need 30 in for an achievement. It did not pop. I did it again. Still nothing.
I checked forums and then the xbox live status which said “social and gaming”.
The achievement counter said 0%.
I turned off and went to bed. The next night I fired up the console and the achievement was unlocked.
I do not make this stuff up. It is sadly quite a frequent issue that achievements are fulfilled but do not unlock until a day or two later.
I can not guarantee it here but the pattern is exactly the same - counter says zero and there were social and gaming issues on xbox live. This is a common xbox live issue.
It is especially well known on the achievement websites.
Yeah, but that was an achievement, not a timed challenge. I’ve had issues with a couple of Watch Dogs achievements, and they popped eventually. But what about the Rayman Legends challenges that were completed but are stuck @ 6%? This isn’t an xbox live issue, but an issue with the challenges themselves. But apparently I know so little…still lovin’ it!
I don’t care who is at fault for the issue. Will I get credit or not? I have seen the issue fix itself but when that happened the challenge showed 100% complete. This one does not.
I’ve Ivory Soap sure that we will not get the badge given that the challenge shows 0% complete.
The question is, what should be done to fix the problem. Turn 10 or Microsoft could fix the problem shortly and the people who didn’t get the badge are out of luck and have to rerun the event this weekend. This is the simplest solution.
A better solution would be to postpone the event until next weekend. Treat this weekend as a practice. Let the people with Gold play with Forza 5 for a whole week and have the real event next weekend. I know I didn’t get really into Forza 5 until I played it for a couple of weeks. This would generate a lot of good will and would get more people to buy the program. I’m Ivory Soap sure this won’t happen.
How people know what I mean by Ivory Soap sure? I’m dating myself with that. Ivory Soap used to advertise it was 99.44% pure.

Again, there is no issue with delayed unlocks due to XBL. That is not the case.
This issue was identified to be because the challenge requires we unlock the badge and title that DO NOT EXIST in the game.
They are not present in the form of even being ‘Locked’, so the challenges are impossible to earn.

I honestly believe it’s a game issue regarding these two challenges.
I know when they were added, no update to Forza was done, but surely there should have been to add the two new badges and titles as every time I have looked at my “Achievements” on the “Change Badge” or “Change Title” screens, a challenge that I haven’t completed has always shown up as “Locked”… But right now there aren’t any that are “Locked”.
There isn’t any “oh it will unlock at the end of the challenge” stuff, because with every challenge in every game I have played so far whenever the criteria has been met for the challenge, it’s popped up as completed so people SHOULD have got their badges and titles… IF they have actually been added to the game, which is where I think the screwup is.
I say it’s a Forza issue because yesterday I was happily playing other games and unlocking achievements and challenges without any hassle.
EDIT: As of right now, 11:14am UK time, I just did another lap, beat Johns time with all Xbox services running absolutely fine… No badge, No Title…
ind0ctrin, you’re definitely right, the issue is isolated to Forza 5 and not other games or XBL downtime.
But others here are intentionally trying not to believe this, and oppose what I said.
Just let them know you haven’t been able to unlock this and that’s it. Email, twitter, etc. That’s the best thing to do right now to getting this fixed.
Unlocking achievements works this way:
→ badge/title unlocked
→ the game detects that happen
→ achievement is unlocked
Check the profile area in the game, there is nothing there, or any “locked” ones for these.
When I finished the Spa race, the achievement didn’t pop and I didn’t unlock the badge. I then checked the achievement app and the achievement was unlocked. Then I closed the game. I played again a day later or a few days later and as the game was starting up, I got the notice that the badge unlocked. So I’m not so sure about your theory.
That’s not what I’m seeing. I have the “Grand Tour of Prague” set as my top achievement in the side bar thingy. It says it’s locked, although I did the required number of miles. I’m hoping it pops at some stage like SatNite said it would.
Don’t get me wrong, the reasons SatNite and the others were giving are valid reasons for achievements and challenges not popping, but after realising there was no update, it’s surely got to be that.
I also did 130+ miles yesterday night (6 sept 2014, 1am-3am BST) and no achievement, badge or anything.
I hope it will unlock at some point, not going to do the race again.
