I think youre right, did take some Pictures with Screenshot Program and send the Pictures to any of my Smartphones. There i cant see no such effect which i stated earlier. Did also take a Picture with my a extra Camera and as you said, after zooming in the Effect disappeared. The Solution sometimes is so simple but didnt notice it at all it could be my Screen. The weird Thing is, this happens in Forza only. So i blamed Forza for this Issue, Sorry PG lol.
This is what i captured with my Kamera, ignore other Lines and Stairs its because the Camera cant capture the Display so well.
i marked it with Blue, there you can see clearly bigger Stairs and Pixels. So there is something wrong with my Screen at this Point.
There have been certain nvidia driver versions which have produced bad effects like that. At first glance you’d think your video card was broken but it only happened in Forza, and it was fixed in the next driver. But IIRC nvidia managed to break it again later. I don’t know which driver versions are good and which aren’t, so don’t always assume having the latest driver is always the best thing. Usually it would be, but nvidia’s QC dept. has been doing some sloppy work of late.
I have about the same as you, Windows 10, i7-7700, Geforce GTX 1060, (Alienware Aurora R6). I have a 1tb NVMe dirve, and 48gb of RAM. I get around 100+ fps on a 2k, 144mhz, HDR monitor. I doubt the SSD vs NVMe drive differences is causing you this slowness, but I would suggest you at least double your RAM to 16gb, 8gb is the minimum requirement for the game… Other then that, watch your temps on your cpu/gpu, this game will take 80-100% of both, most of the time and if your cooling isn’t good then you could have throttling issues.
My rig is worse than yours and it runs great with medium(shadows and stuff) to high settings(textures and stuff).
What is got really slow for me, after a patch I believe, is the time it takes to log into the game. Before it was a few seconds, now it can take up to a minute or more.
well , on 970 strix my game crashes after some amount of time xD , im playin like 10 minutes and crash - black screen and cant do anything , have to hard reset my PC
I’ve got a serious problem with FH4. No matter what I do I dont get beyond around 20 fps.
First I will discribe my hardware setup:
Ryzen 5 2400G
MSI B450M Pro VDH Plus (BIOS 7A38v98 from 2019-11-13)
2x8GB GSkill Rip Jaws @ 3200 MHz
1TB nvme SSD
4k TV connected by HDMI
running Win10 x64 1909 at build 18363.535
used radeon driver 19.12.3 (and older versions)
You might think the integrated Vega 11 graphics is way too slow for FH4 but thats definetly not the case. There are many reviews showing that it works above 50 fps on medium settings FHD.
Here is an unsorted list what I have tried, the last days:
All offered resolutions, Vsync with 30/60 fps limit
All advanced settings from very low to ultra
updated BIOS to latest version
force VRAM in BIOS to 2GB
uninstalled graphics driver by DDU and tried some versions
reset the game through app settings in windows
reinstalled the game (downloading the fkn 75GB again!)
put in GTX660
put in GTX1070
switched resolution in windows to FHD 60Hz
messed around with driver settings
connected a simple 24" FHD screen by DVI
The fkn game will not exceed 20 fps on this machine!
I do have an other computer running an overclocked i7 875k (first gen iCore!) with GTX1070 the game is running flawless at 1600p ultra settings.
What the f**k is wrong with this game on my HTPC?
I’ve also done some benchmarks just to proof the hardware is running fine.
3DMark TimeSpy:1305
Cinebench r15: 808
All steam games are running fine.
Do you have any suggestions what I could try to locate the bottleneck?
Sorry for Hijacking this thread. Wanted to create an new thread but the admins made a post into this thread.
Buying an Xbox 1X is absolutely no option for me.
I’ve tried to enable/disable Game Mode, no difference.
Then I uninstalled Bitdefender Total security and it shifted the problem to a higher framerate limit.
Without bitdefender it is limited to approximately 30 fps. But sometimes drops to about 20fps but also sometimes comes back to 30 fps.
This is such a strange behavior.
Looks like CPU performance cap. (caused by low utilization)
Report the states (utilization %, core frequency, voltage, temperature, etc.) of the processor during the event. I suspect it’s caused by improper power management settings.
Compare the scores with other’s results of similar hardware/system configuration. Verify if your scores are in the normal range.
Make sure you test games that are almost equally resource demanding as Forza.
On X1X, I have noticed recently that the game intro which was totally fluid, I would say, 1 week ago max, now have 1 or 2 little hiccups. I am not sure my case is relevant of any modification into the game, Since yesterday, I cannot race more than 1 mn before the game totally crashes.
I don’t know yet how to confirm if the issue is the xbox or the game, I would need a testing software for the xbox, don’t even know if such exists.
what resources demanding game could I use considering I have gamepass. From what I guess, FH4 is the most resources demanding soft. I guess it has to do with GPU since races start without any issue. it’s only when new landscape comes that boomm… I have no error message, nothing, just game crashing back to xbox menu … I would have expected some error message but nothing.
I’ll try a full reinstall of the game and then go for the support
I sorted out my issue, drivatars designs off … bad idea, at least on my X.
Hope you will find out your issue, I would recommend to start by switch all parameters to default. I found one with bad side effect, possibly others have.
