It’s funny but the same studio created Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Donkey Kong 64, I think even Diddy Kong Racing and such. Rare was a great studio back then, they don’t exist anymore but I hope the game still somehow has “Rare” elements in it.
The devs of Perfect Dark were probably the best devs that ever existed. They themselvers were true gamers. They made games for gamers. Not for profit etc.
I think they have advanced the single player side of the game as far as they’re going. The tiny and useless (non)career plus the two features rolling in and out each update.
I won’t lie, “Test Drive” on the 'Ring is my favorite way to earn credits and CP with a variety of cars. But maybe that’s because I’m older now and a lot less competitive than when I was younger…I guess I prefer the more chill nature of doing things at my own pace after I finish doing the seasonal stuff.
Motorsport and Horizon need to drop this drip fed weekly content FOMO garbage and give us complete SP careers at launch. I don’t buy Forza games for MP so when the SP is as lacking as they have been since FH4 there’s almost no point in me buying them. I still do in the hope that someone realises the mistake they’ve made and changes it but T10 and PG are convinced that’s the way to go and I don’t see the current leadership doing anything different. Consider it a lesson in how to ruin a franchise.

Irony mode on? But I’m afraid you’re right. How I wrote here already: if it’s like you’re saying, FM will be dead for me.
Well speaking of adding cars from previous titles, it’s considered as recycled. I’m pretty sure that if it’s because of “Licensing”, then it’s inexcusable. Because if that one car from a previous Forza game didn’t appear in a next new Forza game, then it will come back late or it will never come back at all.
And I can’t vote for either options. I don’t care about “a real career mode”, or “more single player features”. I don’t want to manage a team, I don’t want to manage a calendar, I just want races, and it delivers it. But at the same time, the live service shtick which leads to ephemeral featured tours and missable content is pretty hateful game design.
If they kept the featured tours and added the prize cars to the shop, I’d be happy.
