Play, select single race / race track!?

Hi,

I´m an amateur-racedriver in real live; I used Forza 4 to learn some racetrackes, therefor I selected a car an the racetrack I wanted to learn, chosed Best Lap and started learning.

Now I upgraded to XBox One, Forza 6, Fanatec wheelbase and else, a lot of stuff and money - but now I am a little confused: it seems to be impossible to choose a racetrack and just learn the track (without any other drivers) - I only can go for a career or series (which I´m not interested at all, I´m not a child, I want to use Forza 6 seriously for my real race driving, just like Forza 4…)

  • is there any possiblity to use Forza 6 the way I was used to with Forza 4 and select a racetrack and best lap?

thanks a lot and best regards

Race tab, then Rivals? There you should be able to pick the class, track, and then use the car of choice. Free Play should work equally, allows you to set up your race of choice with 0 drivatars, so it’s just you on the track.

As a Forza 4 veteran, you’ll find a lot of stuff missing in FM6.

Anyway, once you complete the introductory races (about an hours worth) you’ll have free reign for rivals, free play or test driving.

Ah that’s right, you have to play a few career races first to “unlock” other parts of the game. Must’ve forgotten already.

Lucky!

What will you be driving on The Ring?

If you quit after the first introductory race, you will be able to get to the dashboard (maybe sooner?)

Sell the F1 car you get from one of the early spins and you’ll have enough credits to buy most any car you want.

It’s not a guaranteed win, I won an F1 car in a higher level spin.

In fact my Lowe level spins were terrible. But this is not the place to discuss that.

It is pretty annoying that the introductory races hey forced into us so heavily. At least it’s a one time thing but still, they could have allowed the option to opt out completely, particularly for people who know what they are doing.
