if you were asked for one basic tuning tip by, Someone like me (casual older racing gamer)
That would ‘work’ on a variety of cars.
What would that tuning tip be?
Thanks…
Build Tip: Weight reduction > Grip > Power.
Tuning Tip: Rear differential tuning is critical to a good RWD or AWD tune. It’s why some tunes power cleanly through corners while others spin, push, or plow. Accel impacts the car’s behavior when you throttle out of corners (increase for more oversteer, decrease for less). Decel impacts the car’s behavior when you let off the throttle heading into a corner (increase for more oversteer, decrease for less).
Settings can vary significantly car-to-car and there is no “base” setting or formula. You just have to drive the car, see what it does when you get on the throttle coming out of a turn (accel) or let off the throttle heading into a turn (decel), and make adjustments. Tune in 5% increments until you’ve overcorrected the car’s behavior, then back off in 1% increments to dial it in. It goes pretty quickly once you’ve done it a few times.
top tip:
Put on telemetry and observe what your car is doing when you drive the way you intend to (if it is a drift car - drift it/ race car - race it)- esp tyre temps
if they are stone cold or roasting they won’t work well
Try to notice if you car improves as it warms up or gets worse
Put on Telemetry?
Can you expand on that? or
explain to me where that is done?
That might be interesting to see and look at?
Thanks…
In Pause menu
Settings
Control Settings
Switch Anna/Telemetry /TTS - set to telemetry
for me it is down on the +key (depending on your layout) to switch it on … once in you cycle left /right using the + key through the various telemetry screens
Ok, It’s quite clear that I haven’t gone into all the inner workings of this game.
Ya’ll are on a different level than I am.
I guess I need to spend some time looking at all these different ‘options’.
This is wild, too cool…
Thanks…
