Patate Hot Lap Series

Attention racers,

Event 8 is over, the results are in. As we’re leaving Belgium, a quote from a local philosopher:

I love peanuts. You drink a beer and you’re fed up with the taste. So you eat some peanuts. And then, you want to drink beer again. Peanuts, it’s perpetual motion within man’s reach.

Deep stuff. On that thought, here’s the leaderboard:

And the new-to-HLS car leaderboard:

Full results and more on the event sheet.

PHLS#9 officially starts now. The place is Australia, mate. The cars? All of them. Well, not all of them all of them, but 150 of them. See the top post for the full list.

Extra points will be distributed for posting times with different cars. You can submit multiple times per post. You will need one PHLS# tag, and then make sure to include a TIME# and CAR# tag for each time you submit, in the same order. See this post for an example. Or you can make multiple posts, that works too.

I won’t be here to run the bot around the second week, so don’t expect leaderboard updates then. All your submissions will still be processed by the end.

There’s now a car leaderboard attached to each event. I won’t necessarily post it every time, that’ll be part of the “full results and more” that you can freely consult on the event sheet, with the full history of previous events. I did it because I have an unquenchable thirst for spreadsheets and data.

This event will run for three-weeks, because it’s the holidays. Then starting Jan 9 and event number 10, we’ll get back to a new and improved regular schedule. We’ll still have equal parts race car events and equal parts road car events, but one-make events will also be thrown in the mix. Special format events will become a more regular thing too. No Promises™.

And we’ll be starting with a special versus race event, categories TBD by you, poll and more details on event formats in the first post.

That’s it. No more talking, let’s race!
