I’ve noticed for the last couple months (maybe it’s been going on longer and I never noticed), there seems to be a lot of users simply asking for in game credits. I don’t honestly understand why this has become a thing all of a sudden. In game credits are probably the easiest things to get in the game without hardly trying. You get credits for almost anything you do. What’s your hurry? FH6 is a long way away now. What else have you got to do with your time?
I mean if you want a really expensive car for some reason, why not just be patient and earn the credits and buy it. Won’t you feel like you’ve accomplished something in the game by doing it that way? Or maybe there’s a panhandler badge I’m not aware of?

Ps5 new starters I presumed it was given the influx
New players are not used to how fh5 works and are asking about their dream car in the game and being told “auction house.”
I can understand it when you go into a game where there is a lot of limited availability stuff and an established player base, many of whom are several YEARS ahead of you.
All they’re asking is for us billionaires to pay our fair share.
Uncle Phil said during the stream yesterday that we’re going to be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Xbox in 2026 with “the next Forza”, so it might not be that long a wait.
November 15th is the birthday of the XBox, almost a year and a half to wait

Spring 2027. Something will happen & they’ll push it to 2027. I dunno why I say that, I just sense it.

As others have said, most likely new players. And, to be fair, if your aim is getting all of the cars from the Autoshow, I found that it took quite a lot of time to get enough credits to buy everything since several of the older racecars massively inflated in price between Horizons 4 and 5. Frankly, I only noticed my credits started stacking up after I had bought everything, and only cars and credits were left remaining in the wheelspins. The economy in Horizon 5 is stingier than you think it is until it isn’t.

I mean, I get it but I also don’t get it. I had to restart my entire game from scratch because of a bug I couldn’t get rid of but I don’t go around asking people for money. That’s just not how to play. Just play legit and enjoy the game. If you find that playing the game is too boring and it seems like a grind, then find another game. Just my opinion. I feel you’re missing out on what the game has to offer if you just look for shortcuts to goal line.

From what I recall, much of this started from legacy players with maxed credits that offered to help new players who might benefit from them, which I thought was a very positive gesture on their part to contribute back to the community. Of course once this starts, you will have others who will jump in to ask, but I’ve never really viewed it in the light of your OP title per se.
In an environment that is typically dominated by many who choose to exploit the various avenues at the cost of other players, it’s refreshing to see others offering to give back imo.

Ahhh… was not aware of that aspect. Yeah, it’s nice of others to offer for sure.

That’s definitely true, though even taking it into account 5 is more generous with credits than 4 is. I’m working on getting the last few expensive Autoshow cars on my Steam save in 4, and I keep getting frustrated by my weekly Super Wheelspins frequently giving me all of 30k credits or less. Meanwhile it seems like the Super Wheelspins in 5 (where I have zero need for them) average a few hundred thousand credits.

I think they cut down on the amount of horns, clothes, and messages in the Wheelspins in 5, which might explain why 4 is filled with 1,000 credit spaces in comparison.

Iirc correctly you maintained your legend status so kudos on not using it or temporarily moving cars to a friend’s account.
that’s tough
LOL… never even crossed my mind… also, I have no friends.
Womp womp.
Hey, I never got it either.
At this point I’m convinced that there are many people who don’t know or forgot the autoshow exists. My clan and I used to do budget challenges using the auction house. We stopped doing that in 5 because most of the time a stock car cost more in the auction house than in the autoshow, which makes zero sense.
My other theory is that many players (newer players in particular) have a compulsive need to upgrade everything to maximum. If you’re doing engine, drivetrain, and induction conversions on practically everything then those bills add up fast. I’ll admit when I was new to the franchise (Horizon 3) I did this, and I always felt like I was strapped for cash. I recently did a reset and replay of that game. Didn’t even make it that far (there is an issue with my system and that game) but I was shocked at how much cash I had vs my memories of the game.
Combine those two factors and I could see how people are constantly strapped for cash, despite the fact that the game is pouring out credits like a waterfall.
Meanwhile, I’m really enjoying Motortown: Behind the Wheel, where racing is a money sink and you have to work real jobs to earn enough to be able to race.

I’ve seen this mostly in the form of people asking [on reddit and discord] how to instantly make millions of credits. Some of them get snippy when told to go racing. They’re convinced there’s a trick to make a million credits per minute and we’re just being mean not letting them in on it.
