Right so anyone here who enjoys a good realistic track day with good realistic cars will agree that you can never get a clean lap in or anything because you always get the fools in F1 cars! Now turn 10… A track day does not have F1 cars in it. It’s pathetic. Getting bumped off the track every two seconds because everyone thinks their Lewis Hamilton. Get it removed because it’s beyond a joke now. Can tell nobody has done a track day in real life if ya’ll pulling out F1 cars and indy cars on a TRACK DAY! You are all entitled to your opinions but if you disagree your opinion is wrong sorry.
They are annoying, but the problem is that if you take out the F1 cars people will just take Indycars instead. Take out the Indycars too and they will run P1 cars… Take those out and they will take P2… and so on down the line.
You can’t fix stupid people by taking away some of their toys. They will take whatever the fastest thing they can get their hands on is and drive it poorly regardless of the limitations T10 set.
The only solution is to give us back the public user-created lobbies. Then someone could start a room that says “C-A production cars” or whatever and could kick people who show up with stupid stuff and interrupt things… but they won’t bring those back so we are stuck dealing with morons in every hopper.
I’m not sure if this is a complaint about losing in a public hopper, a complaint about nobody racing the same cars as you in a public hopper, a complaint about wreckers, or a complaint about not being in a club that races the same cars you want to race or the fact that there are no division specific hoppers like there are class hoppers.
I would understand the complaint about wreckers - that would be annoying when you are just trying to go out and race, and hopefully entice others to race the same car as you and all they do is win and wreck you - but if they don’t race the same car or class or series as you I don’t think you can complain about that when its a public hopper and they are racing a car within that regulation for that hopper.
I myself would like a large option of hoppers like division/class, division/open,class,class homoligated,division/homologated, the different combinations are endless…but i’d venture to guess that most of those many many hoppers wouldn’t have very many people in them at any given time. But maybe if they rotated hoppers based on time that would be nice. Like every 3 hours a new group of hoppers becomes avail. that would be cool - someone should suggest that…you know kinda like the leagues but with hoppers. Variety is the spice of life after all?
Sounds like this whole lobby could disappear. Why on earth would you try to hot lap in a lobby with no restrictions? You can argue that trying to hot lap in public lobbies with restrictions is difficult enough so assuming that the “run what you brung” lobby is a better place to achieve a clean fast lap is even more ludicrous.
Why not just join a restricted lobby where some racing is happening and participate?
This game gives you tools to do whatever you want but that doesn’t mean every tool is good to do every job.
A clean lap by the game’s standard doesn’t matter, and I agree no one should care about that… It’s more the knobs in the fast cars wrecking you when they don’t know how/when to overtake.
I like Nordschleife track days and see it there all the time. I will a run a nice B class car and find someone else and sync up with them so we have a little chase going… then here comes some genius in an F1 car that wrecks one of us because they can barely control the thing.
Again the issue is stupid people more than anything else, and we will never be able to fix that until we can control our own lobbies… which likely won’t ever happen again.
Uhh no, the issue is someone in a fast car trying to put in a clean lap, who comes across slow cars hogging the track - their lap becomes dirty, slower car gets rammed.
If you’re in a slow car why can’t you move over allowing them to make a clean pass and continue their lap?
Even though only idiots care about clean laps in track day hoppers, you could turn that around just as easily. If someone in a slower car is trying to put in a clean lap, why should they get rammed by an impatient donkey in a fast car? If you are in a fast car why can’t you just wait for a safe spot to make a clean pass and not interrupt their lap?
Clean laps don’t matter in a track day lobby because it’s about driving a car you enjoy on a track that you share with others, not setting fast times. A clean lap for a faster car is just as meaningless as a clean lap for a slower car, so by being in a faster car you don’t just automatically get special treatment and everyone has to move out of your way when they see you coming because you are so important.
Apparently you know nothing about real-world track day etiquette or multiclass racing etiquette so likely you are part of the problem, but your lack of knowledge makes you unaware of that.
It’s easier for a slower car to move to the side, so if you’re in a slower car just moving over to allow the faster car past will save a whole rigamarole, eh?
The real world track days I know don’t allow lap timing so, refer to my first post in here.
On the slower car’s side, either they don’t know to move over to one side to let a car pass or they just don’t care. But sometimes when they’re in the middle of a corner they can’t really move over too easily. Then there’s the people in the faster cars that don’t know how to overtake somebody, they’re too impatient to get going and they push the slower car out of the way, or they go a little to fast on accident and bump the slower car out of the way. Then there’s when both sides are trying to get out of each other’s ways but it ends up a mess.
Here’s something just don’t play online? Want to cruise and do a “track day” go to single player or horizon motorsports are racing vehicles deal with it maybe if turn 10 would get off there are and give us lobby for these old race cars they keep adding instead of just R900 and P or X class we wouldn’t have to go there and you “cruisers” can have the lobby
