When I create a Private Lobby and race by myself against AI drivers, I always get the “weak internet connection” and eventually get the “you have been disconnected from the session”. Has anybody been able to set-up a private lobby and race by yourself with success? I like to set-up custom races and I have not been able to because of these issues. I have Open NAT and have no issues playing other games online. I can join matches online without problems, this is only when I create a private lobby and race alone with AI drivers.
Any recommendations?
Cross your fingers they fix it for Forza 6
Does anybody have success creating a private lobby and racing by yourself against AI without crashing? I don’t want to start messing with my router/modem settings if this is a game issue and not my network. thanks.
The AI are always crashing… i hardly ever see the weak network connection sign unless im downloading movies it normally pops up, try resetting your internet.
I rebooted my network a few times and I still have the same issue. I dont get the “weak network connection” when I race in the public lobbies, only when I create my own private lobby. Are you able to create your own private lobby and race against AI without the game crashing with “You have been disconnected from the session”?
To be honest I’ve never raced AI in a private lobby but I just set up a private race with 15 AI 3 laps round Bernese alps and had no problems.
Try holding down the white xbox button on front of console for 7-9sec intil console shuts down, disconnect you console from the power brick, leave for 5min or about that time, reconnect, this normally fixes most issues but if it is your network then I doubt the console reset will work.
Yes I can get it working.
Try doing a cold reboot on your console by.holding the power button on console for 5 seconds. When you restart see if it works better for you.
I’m curious to know if you’re able to specifically choose the A.I vehicles. I can specify more or less what range of cars I want in a private A.I lobby, but the option to choose their cars isn’t there. Am I missing something or is it just not possible? Seems strange that it’s not considering it’s been in every forza private lobby that I know in the 360.

No , the feature is not there.

You can’t choose each AI’s car like in FM4, but you can force them all to use a particular car or make of car. The last tab on the right of the options has loads of options for narrowing down the cars that can be used - you can set it to a particular make and model and all AI will use that. Using multiple player buckets along with setting ‘score buckets independently’ to ‘no’ allows you to get the AI using several different cars by limiting each bucket to a different car, or you can set some very narrow parameters using the PI, body family, power, weight, year etc. filters to only allow the cars you want. Nowhere near as easy as it used to be but it is possible for the most part. What I’ve found can be tricky though is getting the AI not to all choose the same car when they have a range available, for example setting ‘Body Style’ to 1970s Grand Prix tends to result in a full field of Ferraris and no McLarens. If anyone has any tips on that I’d love to hear them.
Short question:
What is the difference between free racing and a private lobby filled with 15 AI?
I read you dont get any achievements by racing vs AI,so i’m wondering.
Anyways,crossed fingers for you,fix that prob…

I’m not to sure about this but when your setting up the game settings if you press RB your find more options to choose from, maybe it’s in there but I’m not 100%.

When you make a private lobby it’s basically classed as an online race, the achievement race 50 multiplayer races at nurburgring for example, you could set up a 1 lap race, do that 50 times, instead of trying to find online races on Nurburgring doing 3 laps at a time, it’s sometime more fun to add the AI in though rather than just racing round on your own.
why not just use freeplay where internet connection is irrelevant?
the weak internet message is compared to how much data you are transmitting. most isp’s have much lower uploading than downloading. you are having to upload all the data from not only the car you are driving but every other car as well and hitting your cap, espically if its on a shared modem. if you are racing against 1 ai you have doubled the uplaod, trippled it for racing 2 ai etc…and upload is capped at 1/4 of download alot of places. you simply run out of bandwidth to upload every car, and when one drops the ipaddress when they are all on the same machine it drops all the ipaddrress. try fewer ai or freeplay.

Free play does not provide nearly the customization options as online does.
i was unaware of that. perhaps microsoft should patch the options in.
