Can we customise online like we can with Forza 5? ie; Forcing cockpit view, No Hud or turning driving line off for everyone?
I can’t speak with any certainty (of course) but I would assume no. Those are lobby centric options. For the game to transition directly from single player to online, you wouldn’t be setting all of those restrictions. I can see it in a sim race of different varieties, but I doubt they would want to restrict a player’s options within an open world game.

That was my worry, Watching one of the gamescom vids and the direction of where to go was all lit up like a Christmas tree so it was very easy to be able to tell where to go…I was thinking if it was not lit upat certain parts it would of been far harder which is going to result in those that play with driving line having a pretty big advantage.
Hopefully we do get online options though as i dont think not having them would be beneficial.
The option for a ‘Private Online Session’ is in the menus so there must be some degree of options you can choose from - but the options you’ve listed are highly unlikely.
Ralph said that in the Free Roam part of multiplayer, you can do anything, from selecting any event on the map and changing the game options - since you can adjust assist restrictions in Horizon 1, it’s likely they’ll have it in this mode - to just free-roaming. The other part of multiplayer would be the Road Trips, where you vote and drive to a destination, do 4 randomly selected events, then drive to the next destination and do another 4 events. I think Road Trips would replace forza’s prescripted lobby/gametype system in this game, and Free Roam would take care of the custom lobby part. Also there is private lobbies where you can probably do anything ![]()
