Old event selection was a better format

Old style race hoppers track days drift and drag is better than the new way of doing this I get they wanted to make it more racing than what the people actually want

Your post lacks context and assumes the reader has prior knowledge.

Explain the old and how it differs to the new.

Based on prior knowledge (FM7), I assume he means the single player “championships” and how that was structured.

We currently don’t even have half of FM7’s single player races/championships for that to be worth it right now. They would have to add a ton of content to the game.

Yes, and adding a 4 weekly one liner in the Builders Cup & 4 Featured cups that only offer 4 races per week and are then removed after 6 weeks doesn’t feel like an addition to the game.

Feels more like you are at the mercy of Turn10 and what they think you should drive this month and then they remove it from the game.

Why not leave the Featured cups for let’s say 6 months to a year and keep adding content instead of removing it.

Because then its not “featured” anymore. Their whole live service hinges on the “featured” content they add every month. Theyre still sticking with this plan even though the progression grind doesnt exist anymore which went hand in hand with the “featured” cars they add.

They wanted people to buy a featured car, then use it in the featured career event, then use it in the featured rival event, after grinding through this the car would be upgraded enough to take it to the featured multiplayer race where i guess youd grind some more to get to level 50.

This was their grand live service plan. It was a bad plan that is now made redundant by allowing credits to buy parts. This is not to say i think its bad to be able to buy parts, it should never have changed from past motorsport games.

They lost me after the rivals as I’m still not interested in MP the way it stands. The long practice I don’t have time for and then from the sounds the ratings are pointless cause all it takes is some idiot to be in the lobby and you end up wearing the penalties.

Once Turn10 get the system right along with adding a permanent Nordschleife I’ll definitely try out some MP and it will most probably end up breathing some life into the game cause the single player side is completely devoid of any life.

Buying parts is good and I find myself buying just what is necessary then go racing, before I’d have to grind about an hour to get level 13 odd, problem is that T10 didn’t fall on their sword sooner and as you say shouldn’t have changed from the past installments.

It’s going to be a long road ahead until this installment matches anything that was before it.

Featured content has to stay for at least 6 months, that way any new to motorsport customer can obtain the featured vehicles, that or bring back the Auction House.

I dont know what theyre going to do, i dont see them bringing back the auction house. I think theyre trying to keep things on the cheap with this installment. No stats, limited replay size, limited multiplayer lobbies etc. The auction house would just be a thing they have to pay attention to which i dont think they want to do. Its possible after 12 months the fomo cars would just be added to the dealership, if theres a year 2 this cycle would just start over again with new cars but probably with the same events recycled.

Same here it’s all guess work of which for a game of this type is not worth the effort. They (Turn10) ask the community to “Vote” for things yet spend more time replying to Reddit posts or X than here, it’s a losing battle, a putin Russian style election system, doesn’t matter what you vote for it’s going to be a decision that’s already decided.

Neither do I… but it would be good… now all it will take is someone to reply saying If this was in the suggestion HUB

From where we both sit it certainly looks that way

By that time the next best game will have come along and the voting system will still be autocratic

Agreed, can’t see anything changing unless they start to engage with the players… outside of the pointless SHUB.

We both know that’s not going to happen
