Oh please no, not again

The 765LT is in the game now, but seeing as the 720S is 899 stock, I’m pretty sure this car is gonna be one of those just barely above S1 cars that you have to put weird tires on to race in S1. Why are we still doing this T10? This was one of the biggest problems in the other games after FH1

Isn’t this always the issue with any tiered system? Certain cars will always inevitably end at the bottom of a tier. The only half solution is to divide all tiers into smaller ones, so the difference between the bottom and the top is not that big.

The main issue with every Horizon title that’s not the first one is that 100-500 is all just D Class. The whole of 801-998 is just S1 and S2… The better use of PI and the class system was what made the 1st Horizon so good. S, R3, R2, and R1. Why change it? I still do not understand why to this day. I’m almost 100% sure there was no logical reason for it. It makes no sense at all whatsoever. Why intentionally make your games worse?

The developers likely thought it would be too complex for casual audiences. However, I definitely agree with you. E-Class and F-Class, at the very least, should be revived, but it would also be nice to see the return of R-Class and possibly the introduction of a G-Class.

So you indeed suggest a subdivision or at least a division that is more varied than the current one. However, it still doesn’t take away the ‘problem’ of cars being at the low end of a tier, right? It would make the difference within a tier a little smaller though, I get that.

It still won’t completely fix that, but with that class system, you’ll have a better chance at being able to upgrade your cars in a way that allows the car to keep it’s ‘character’. The difference between S1 900 and S2 998 is sooo HUGE that if you somehow can get a low 900 pi car to 998, it usually won’t even be the same car anymore. It’s just another (at least) 1200 hp car with nost of the things that we like about it gone at that point. And I don’t wanna change to off-road tires to get it under 900 lol that’s just a joke to me.

Yeah I just checked. The 765LT is 913 stock. This game is officially trash to me. I’m so salty. I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to call it trash at all at first, but then I ran into enough S1 FXX’s, and Diablo GTR’s, and had to admit it was unbalanced trash to an extent. The A class Bone Shaker still exists. And also in A class the 03 Celica makes Horizon Open a one player race. And now my favorite car is gonna suffer from the #1 thing I’ve been frustrated about since Horizon 2 changed it. Crappy class system. As a loyal Horizon fan, I’m beyond disappointed that this is still a thing. They clearly don’t care.

It’s true…
With each new installment of Horizon it becomes a pain for those of us who tune as there are clearly a lot of unbalanced cars in class from PI Stock. So the only conclusion here would be that this kind of stuff is irrelevant to the developers as it doesn’t affect them in “their ideal game”. Now that games like this are being brought to Game Pass from day 1, I think there is a more childish audience to impress, and Horizon veterans will no longer be taken into account as much. It’s a shame, I totally agree that there should be a very big recalibration in PI Stock classes, but since the game is already somewhat advanced it would be a pain for the developers to review each of the cars and give them something more competent or coherent . It would be like in FH4, when paint was requested on the calipers and they gave an answer until a new delivery. >:v

Ah, yes, this makes sense. I didn’t realise (the obvious that) you could stay closer to the original character of the car when you don’t have to add 80+ PI)
