After all is said and done and the servers go offline with this game, would you like to still play FM23 completely offline with all the cars/tracks you’ve acquired?
- Yes please!
- No thanks!
- I love seeing the results of polls, even if I never vote myself!
Sorry about that, didn’t realize I can’t edit polls after 5 minutes from being posted.
Why do public votes suck?
You’d know, you have started enough of them… amiright?

Don’t we all eventually come back to almost every game owned? Even if it’s just for a moment. Even if we feel like every single second spent in some games were a complete waste, which nobody wants to actually be the case

The thing is they can’t take away content that we bought. They can’t just shut down the statistic servers, they can turn off MP but not the game itself.
Even though FM5 was pretty much universally panned AFAIK, I still return to it every now and then for the visuals (I think the game still looks excellent, even considering its age) and the cars (for example, the lovely 18,000 RPM Lotus E21)

Im currently the only one with the “No Thanks!” Vote.
Why? Because im done with this FM23 Game. It is not worth anymore.

I guess this is where I’m confused about the whole live service model approach. For FM23, is it going to be like FM4 where once all the online stuff shuts down and dlc is removed, you keep all the basegame and DLC content you acquired up until the end of the live service and you can still do offline races/test drives? Or is it going to be like The Crew where after a certain point you essentially lose access to the entire game because “lol forget what the fans who like the classics, you will play this NEW hotness and you WILL like it more than that old trash”?
Most probably the first thing you mentioned. It’s mostly the case in that situation.

Won’t there be like… 2-4 other FM games released by the time they shutter this one?

This was supposed to THE Motorsport experience that would evolve over time and I assume avoid the need for a whole new game.
I fear it’s the game that may kill the franchise.

They claim it’s THE thing forever yeah, remember that Win10 was supposed to be the last ever OS of MS and then there was Win11 lol.

So is this game Windows 8 or Vista?

Did they explicitly state that? Or do people just assume that because there’s no eighth in the title?
I hardly play it now let alone next year!
W11 is slower than W10
FM8 is the lowest ranked of all the Forza Motorsport titles, it’s Turn10’s Vista moment, let’s congratulate them
Just doing a quick search.
I haven’t noticed any difference between Win10 and Win11. In some cases 10 is probably better and in others 11 is better. It doesn’t decrease gaming performance in any way that you would notice it so.
And even Digital Foundry only use Win11 now, if Win10 would still be better they would probably use that. I really don’t believe there is a difference positive or negative.
