Official Weekly FM Photo Contest - Week 019

Welcome to the official weekly Forza Motorsport Photography Contest! This contest is open to all players.

This week’s deadline is Friday, September 13, 2024 3:00 AM (Thursday night Pacific time).

Judging will be done by Forza staff and winners will be announced Wednesday, September 18.

HOW TO ENTER

  1. Use Photo Mode to “Save and Share” your photo in Forza Motorsport so it’s visible to all players in game.

    • Include the word PhotoComp019 in the Description field for other users to find your photo.
  2. Post the photo in this topic. You can download your photo from My Forza | Forza or by using a screenshot method.

RULES

You may submit more than one photo per week, with these caveats:

  • Users may enter up to 3 photos for this contest. The photos must be visible to other players in game.
  • Using alternate gamertags to try to increase the chances of winning is prohibited and will result in the user being banned from participating in official contests.
  • All submissions and comments must adhere to the Forza Code of Conduct - Note: We have a stricter standard for appropriateness on content to be featured on Forza channels; we cannot declare winning entries that include alcohol/tobacco brands or names, or entries from inappropriate gamertags, regardless of in-game enforcement status.
  • Only one entry per user will be declared a winner (a user can only win once in this contest).
  • Winners from this week’s contest will be ineligible to win in the next weekly contest (no consecutive winners, in order to feature more players).

PRIZES

For each of 5 selected winners:

  • 500,000 credits gifted to the player’s in-game Message Center
  • Winning photos will be featured in game in the Media > Photo Gallery > Turn 10 Picks for one week.
  • Winning photos and gamertags may also appear on our Forza.net/Community page, Newsletter, and official social media channels and livestreams; please message me here if you do not want your image and gamertag included in social media posts.

Well I had these 3 shots for entry and they looked great on my TV, but I seem to have overexposed 2 of them (I believe it’s something to do with playing in HDR and what I see on my TV isn’t always the picture that is saved) Submitting them anyway as back to work tomorrow and won’t have time to reshoot.

Hi! In order to take pictures like the ones you see on TV, in the picture settings of the game menu, you have to reduce the brightness to zero (only when taking photos!), and set the NIT value to around 2000. Don’t worry about the fact that you see the image darker this way, just take a photo and the photo will be good! I play on Xbox, this method works very well there, but I only turn off the light in the menu when taking photos, then I bring it back to 30-40 when I play. I recommend it to everyone!

Thanks for the tip! I will try this next time I’m on

I always calibrate my tv to my Xbox, I do a few test shots them depending on how they come out I tap up or down contrast or coloring to match what I see to what I download

For some reason, if I turn off the test brightness in the game’s menu as I wrote (not on the TV), it doesn’t brighten the picture too much when taking pictures. After the picture is ready, I restore the brightness, and so the contrast is completely good in the finished picture.
