Welcome to this week’s official competition! This event is open for all players.
This week’s deadline is 2024-11-08T04:00:00Z (Thursday night Pacific time).
Judging will be done by Forza staff and winners will be announced on Wednesday, November 13.
HOW TO ENTER
Use the Apply Vinyls & Decals menu in Forza Horizon 5 to create and Share a design in-game. We will consider all shared game liveries via one or both methods:
New designs: When saving your design, enter the current code words in the Description field. This week’s code word for the description is LivRev140. All designs with this Description will be found in search and considered.
Existing designs: Older or previously entered designs that do not come up in search will not be automatically considered entries; you must post them in this thread. You do not need to update the description in game. Be sure to include your gamertag and the Share Code of the design.
We encourage you to add photos of your design to this thread so others can see it, which will also help us show off the winners. An elevated 3/4 view of the car is usually best for showing off as much of the car’s surfaces as possible in one shot, but feel free to focus on a specific section if it the centerpiece of your work. Also feel free to describe your inspiration or design process, as well as link to a gallery thread of your other work. Please keep to one design per reply.
RULES
You may submit no more than three designs per week, with these caveats:
Only one design per person will be eligible for selection, decided by the voting team.
You may not submit entries with multiple gamertag accounts.
Users who share an excessive number of designs in a single week will be ineligible for the current week and the following week.
Note: We have a stricter standard of appropriateness for content to be featured on Forza channels - we cannot declare winning entries that include: phone numbers (real or fictional); alcohol/tobacco names, logos, or usage; license plates with lettering that can be perceived as inappropriate; or entries from inappropriate gamertags, regardless of in-game enforcement status.
At its discretion, Forza may choose not to feature designs with certain intellectual property, or themes, for business reasons other than covered by the Code of Conduct.
Users who are found to use livery import tools on their entries will be ineligible from being selected as weekly competition winners.
PRIZES
Up to ten winning liveries will be featured in game for six months.
The individual winners will receive a gift a car of the player’s choice, not including DLC or Accolade-only cars. Exclusives and Hard-to-Find cars can be chosen. Winners are required to DM me (T10ManteoMax) with their choice.
Your photo of your design may be shown during official Forza livestreams and potentially on other official Forza social channels.
Here is the former livery of The Sign Guy Austin Mollno’s Nissan Silvia, which was designed by Driver Motorsports in 2020. This is one of my most time-consuming liveries, but it came out just the way I wanted it to.
Here’s my take on the 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427. This car features the definition of a psychedelic paint job with infinity lines, fades, flames, swirls, panel paint, paint splats, ribbons, hearts and three way purple paint to get more of a accurate colour.
Some information on the real car. The real car is a 1967 Corvette big block 427 originally factory painted blue with black stripes before the custom paint and body modifications were applied in 1970 by legendary east coast painter Sonny Croughn. The Corvette was featured in a 1973 edition of Hi-performance cars magazine and went to and won many car shows.
On the hood, roof and rear of the Corvette is orange panel paint that features purple body colour infinity lines with some white swirls that are ghosted in on some spots with the inner edges of the panel paint having gold fades in them. The centre of the Corvette features a thick white and black stripe and a gold centre on the hood with paint splats on the side of the hood scoop and colourful hearts only on the edge of the front and on the hood scoop.
On the sides of the Corvette are flames with a blue background. A custom emblem is also added beside the side vents of the custom Corvette creator. On the main stripe is more infinity lines mixed in with red and blue ribbons that look like they are blowing in the wind, swirls, and hearts ghosted in the main stripe on each end of the main stripe and one heart one each side just below the main stripe to tie in the hearts on the hood and front. Both sides have slight differences to them too such as the infinity lines and red and blue ribbons.
On the back of the Corvette is a custom era correct U-S-A-1 plate that was popular to add onto a Chevrolet. A front bumper delete with side exit exhaust and Cragar SS wheels and a taller stance just like in some original pics of the Corvette ties the look together with only minor changes to the one on Forza.
