How come on Nurburgring track select icons, the lap start point is the start point from the old Forzas but the actual starting point is near the pit?
I never seen it as “start point” more as a direction of driving the track (clockwise / anti-clockwise). The official start in real life (and now in FM5) if correctly done.
usually that’s where the start points are. Compare it to the other tracks.
they probably just recycled the icons/thumbnails from previous versions, not a big deal if you ask me.
There are a couple Road America lay outs where the arrow icon is not at the start finish line as well. If the start finish line isn’t on a long enough straight to fit the arrow on it they seem to place it on a straight that is long enough.
This.
I’ve always figured the inset map’s little cross-line is near the start point and the arrow is the direction of travel. I guess the arrow is usually close to the line… but I’ve also always figured the resolution on the inset map is low enough that the yellow line is also kind of a “close-enough” thing. Nurburgring kind of throws me off a little, it seems like there are a few different lines on the road itself.
