Nobbys Beer Nuts Disaster while at Showdown

While i was Demolishing everyone at Showdown today, except for some of those ultra tuned Mercury Coupes , i tried to enjoy some nuts while waiting for the next race and to my Horror at opening the packet for the 3rd time running, i had a bunch of rejected/no name/no brand/tiny/horribly tasting peanuts that i paid top dollar for . ( And yes the Best Before was 9/18 & sourced at 3 different locations over a 3 month period with the same quality nut )

So before i write off a scathing email to The Smith’s Snackfood Company the Australian snacks division of PepsiCo, has anyone else experienced this anywhere else in Australia ?, I’m in NSW just wondering if they are doing the same to our nuts as they did stuffing up Pringles.

I Know its 1st world problems lol, but heres what they should look like :

All I can say is I have had 2 packets of Nobby’s mixed nuts in the last month and they have been fine.

A few too many peanuts but tasted ok.

Is it a seasonal thing? Beer nuts are really just large peanuts with certain oils and salt. If off season maybe they nuts are as large / good.

Nah its definitely not a seasonal thing for too many years apart from the last few months they have been what you would expect from beers nuts a sweet-and-salty glazing made to a “secret recipe” that they have apparently. Sorry can’t comment on the nobbys mixed variety as i have been buying the Coles brand mixed nuts for ages.

I’m really hoping they haven’t moved production elsewhere without letting their customers know as we have been loyal for a long time :
