A new topic was created by MoparV82011 in relation to the ‘Drivatar’ feature being a nuisance, and he doesn’t mean the feature itself, but the players out there that want to spoil the fun, fair and realistic racing by turning a race into a scene from the movie MAD MAX!
One thing that has annoyed me is there are a few drivers, the same culprits by the way, that will purposely slam on their breaks when you are approaching them from behind, and as you’re getting ready to overtake them. They obviously use this tactic because at least 80% of the time when you rear end a car, it causes more damage to your vehicle and you end up struggling to reach the finish line!
I get so annoyed that I can’t help but to catch up to these morons and run them off the track without causing anyone else to crash, if it’s possible!
The fact that there are some players that don’t want to race like the majority of us want to, and they would prefer to drive in the opposite direction, run other cars off the circuits or block the track by placing there car sideways across the track! It’s something that has annoyed me with the ‘Drivatar’ feature as well, but it doesn’t happen all the time thank God! I find as you move up and start racing against the better and tougher drivers, they tend to take the game more seriously by playing and racing in Forza 5 the way the game was meant to be played!
You’ll find most of the morons that don’t racing seriously within the game are not really passionate about racing, but do like cars in general, and there’s nothing wrong with that, and I’m not saying that everyone who doesn’t take the racing seriously in Forza is out to spoil it for everyone else, it’s only a minority of gamers!
The Solution**
Enough said in regards to the problem! Is there possibly a solution?
Now I don’t know how much time would be needed, as well as how expensive it would be for turn 10 to make some changes to the ‘Drivatar’ features! However if it was possible to make adjustments without having to spend too much money and time on it, it would be great if they could implement a penalty system where if a car breaks in front of another car to heavily, or is constantly and purposely crashing into other cars or takes short cuts on a corner whilst racing, they should be penalized! Now it would be great if Turn 10 could add functionality in which the penalty system could slow offenders cars down to 50km/hr for approximately 30 seconds, or the other way to penalize them is to have the car automatically enter the pits for a drive through penalty, even if they’re penalized on the last lap!
Also, for drivers that constantly accumulate penalties in a short space of time, should automatically be placed into a separate racing division, so they’re not going to spoil it for any of the other drivers.
Maybe Turn 10 should create a division and call it ‘The School of Disciplinary Driving’!
Once these drivers have driven in numerous races without being penalized in ‘This new category’, in other words when they can prove to the rest of the Forza Community that they will drive sensibly when racing, then they will receive a message informing them that their drivatar and that they can rejoin any of the other drivatar levels! and race against all Forza 5 drivers again!!
Just a thought, yes OK, a lot of thought went into this, but I think it’s a great idea! However I think it would be a lot of work for Turn 10!
