So I was reading the WIR as usual, and noticed for the April Car pack rivals they talked about, the car they said you used is the 1985 Nissan #83 Electramotive Engineering GTP ZX-Turbo. Which, isn’t in the game. So I think that either they just accidentally announced one of the new car pack cars, or it’s a “bonus” car. I’m probably going with the former of accidentally announcing it, as that’s not like them.
Personally, I absolutely love this car, and I’m very, very happy to see it coming to Forza. Kind of like how we got the Jaguar XJR-5 last month.
What are your guys thoughts on this car? And for the love of cars, DON’T turn this into a wish list and get the thread locked.
It literally says … ‘Our next update for Forza Motorsport 7 will launch on April 10. This update will include new features, bug fixes, and of course the next batch of cars coming into the game.’
And it’s the ‘April Car Pack Challenge’.
The real question is …
Either the date for the update is wrong (1st not 10th) or the rivals event won’t start on the 1st because the car is not in the game yet.
I doubt it’s the 1st since it’s a Sunday…oddball day. I think the date is correct for the 10th though since it falls on a Tuesday so on that note it’s a delay of the car pack and content update.
The 1985 car is sadly not the one who gave Brabham is 4 titles. At that time the chassis came from Lola. I would prefer the 1987 or later versions. But it’s really nice that some old GTP Cars came into the game.
But I hoped more for the Merkur XR4TI GTO/TransAm as a counterpart to the TransAm Nissan
What I can’t understand why turn 10 bring two 962 long tail in the game and none of GTP Short tail versions. Until 1992 the 962 was part of IMSA GTP and there where a lot of special 962 Builds like the löwenbraü AL Holbert 962 or the BFG Porsches. This cars were optimized for the american tracks with more downforce. That’s no whishlist because I wrote why I can’t understand that there are part in the game.
If car packs continue for the next several months I have faith we will get at least one more GTO/trans am car. I agree the merkur would be nice along with either the Camaro or Porsche 924 gtr.
My thoughts on this car are that the Car Pass shouldn’t be subject to the control of certain manufacturers (Nissan, FCA). We got one Nissan and at least one FCA car in each DLC so far, which cannot be a coincidence. We only have seven slots and, with two reserved to SUVs and off-road cars, there’s less room for actual race cars even though some of the SUVs can be interesting (Trackhawk for example).
Now, the car does look really good… I like its streamlined appearance. Better than the Group 44 XJR-5, haha. For GTP fans it’s gonna be a treat. The early Group C selection is kinda lacking, though… We don’t have the Lancia LC2 for example, and I doubt we’ll ever have it since FCA does not want to promote a dying brand.
Nissan has been getting a lot of love for their race cars. A few in FM6 and now a few in FM7. I have always had a soft spot for their race cars (except that horrid GTR LM failure).
