Licensing be damned, the current wheel manufacturers in the game make great looking wheels, but I think the nail has been hit. Take the time to render current models with accurate width / offset styling like lip size and concavity. Same can be said for the body kit styling though.
In for new wheels!!
Possibly a stupid suggestion here, but building on FM5’s addition meaning you can paint stock rims, how about adding these three features (Ken Block will be used for some suggestions) -
Individual Rim Painting - Like on Ken Block’s Fiesta, he has (or at least had) three yellow wheels and one black one)
Rim piece painting - Rather like on www.stuner.net, making it possible to paint individual pieces of the wheel, like the centre or the lip of the rim.
Rim vinyls - Adding each rim individually into the decal editor, and making it possible to put logos on the rims, like Ken Block has on his fifteen52 rims. He has a splodge of colour under a DC logo.
And in terms of editing the look of your wheels, check out www.stuner.net and it’s siblings (American muscle cars and Australian Holdens and Fords on those two). The bodykit, wheel selection, tuning and suspension tuning are in my opinion second to none. Obviously however, these tuning options will inevitably be very, very difficult.
holy [Mod Edit - Duek] s-tuner is amazing (sorry to be off topic) lol

Sorry if the discussion is a little old. But I would be happy having the selection of wheels from Forza Motorsport 2.The wheels in FM2 were awesome!
Totally. They had a much better selection in Forza 2.
I doubt forza will add rims… they cant even get manufacture rims correct on the cars in FM5… The R32 GTR in the game has V Spec II sized rims and the rims themselves are from a GTS-T version skyline…
not to mention the horrendous gearbox on the R32… 180kph in 3rd gear… C’mon! Non working HICAS, and the only gauges on the car that work is the rev and speedo…
So before we add rims ( which im not opposed to at all ) they should rework their “we strive for accurate this and that” mantra.
Now that the rant is over, great game and super happy with what Forza has become… as crying over minor details such as above is a great place to be instead of complaining about driving bricks and not hearing the sounds.
Although id love to see new alloys i fear that licensing issues may come to play which could stop old or any additions… if im wrong then yey! lol
I don’t need new wheels and rims per say, just a system that isn’t as cumbersome when you go to upgrade your wheels. Having to select each manufacturer in turn FM4/FH1 style to access the wheels takes a long long time. If there was a table view available so that you can quickly browse the rim collection, it would be so much easier.
-k
It’s like that in FM5 ^^
Fenton Gyros please!

In this trailer if you look at 1:52, the RX-7 has all new rims never before seen
I’m not 100% sure, but I think the rims are HRE C109 ![]()

I thought i seen some M/T rims on the old Challenger in an earlier video that were new also.
Link me if you find it please.
Finally after only five years and four games using the same selection, we might get some new wheels.
Although I think Forza 4 and 5 added a few new Mickey Thompson drag wheels.
Its funny all the things people talk about here, but the rims seem to not get very much attention. Now that we have painted wheels and new wheels we just need to able to change the offsets.
Maybe we’ll get that, we don’t know yet
