I can win just fine in races. 1st, 2nd easy
But as soon as I race in freeroam rush I come dead last cause of Forza physics or dumb luck.
Should I then be punished by deranking / getting lower amount of points when in the races I’m outperforming?
I vote freeroam rush out of multiplayer all together!
While I on the other hand find the Freeroam Rush events to be very much in the spirit of what Horizon is (or at least was). I still prefer the structure and organization of Horizon 1 and think there is far too much emphasis on organized racing in both Horizon 3 and 4, especially the on road circuit racing. But hey, that’s just my opinion
Freeroam is my one pet hate about online racing, besides all other dirty tatics from players.
Trailblazers I can breeze through them (within top 10 - 20 on most leaderboards, removing the cheaters). But just 1 tree, 1 random ditch, or even the annoyance of ramming, results in a DNF or 20 secs behind winners time on freeroam.
One main issue with online though is the lack of races, those who do online racing over and over have mastered every race, and freeroam event, as such have better knowledge on which car to use and or path to take within freeroam. More so knowing when a checkpoint is coming up, so they can nudge you off-track.
If the races were to be mixed each season like the playlist, then along with fair team balancing, it may (just may) make me more apt to spend time racing online.
I still believe the biggest issue is the point scoring system, along with dirty drivers, losing punishes you harshly, whilst winning gives you very little. Damn you could come first in every race but still get nothing for the effort if your team wins, but come first in all races and your team loses… Well yer say goodbye to your rank.
More rewards for winners (on either team), less rewards for ramming, bumping and nudging (i.e time penalties), along with a vast range of races (different locations) and online would be more fun… as it stands, it’s far from fun.!

Im very close to just quit this game, becuase of this trash system.
Who is such an intelligent to make random, annoyinng, trash freeroam and give it to us and after one year is still in game?

I just cant believe who was stupid enough to enter this into ranking game, and still normal ranking games doesnt exist. 
80% of all races are rally (green) and rally (orange) and this is normal?
Why u cant give us such a wonderfull ranked without freeroam? No one wants freeroam. Is that hard to understand? lol
