New Leagues: A700 Ghosts | Spec MX-5 Cup | B600 Historic Muscle | NASCAR | Porsche

The Muscle league is much more fun than the Miata one, but they’re both closed from local midnight to 2am so I may as well forget about leagues this week. Again. :frowning:

My success in Muscle League in Elite put me up to Pinnicle but there was hardly anyone there (in MX-5’s) so I’ll stick with Elite racing instead!

Can’t seem to find a lobby wiht more than 4-5 people in it for the Muscle cars, too bad. I highly recommend CQR Tactical’s 69’ Trans Am tune for the grip tracks.

3 leagues going. About time but its kinda too late

Back into Pinnacle so thought id look in to the Porsche and NASCAR leagues. So far only TWO people have placed on the Porsche league board and SEVEN on the NASCAR league. Popped into MX-5 League and only one , lobby with TWO people in it racing.

Can someone tell me what the idea of Pinnacle is because it sure doesn’t do anything for racing!! Elite all the way for me (hopefully!)

I’ve been trying for 4 months now to get my profile bumped back down to Elite, cause I can never find any lobbies in Pinnacle. Nobody is racing in them. And when there are, it’s usually 5 or 6 people, as mentioned before.

And the ease of getting up to Pinnacle is a joke too. I have a number of other profiles, and all of them are in Pinnacle now, at Driver rank 25 or less. And I’m deliberately throwing the races, meaning, just barely finishing in the time limit, just to keep from being bumped all the way up. Nothing seems to help.

I win one race in Grassroots with profile “B”, and I’m up to Professional. Win 2 or 3 races in Pro, and get bumped to Elite. win another 2 or 3 races in Elite, and boom… Hello Pinnacle. I wish they’d put the ranking back to the way it was before. Cause it took me on my main profile about 6 months to get to Pinnacle. Only wanted it for the badge. And now I can’t get deranked. No matter how noobish I run. It sucks.

Ha Ha Same here lol

Im up & down like a yo yo now but gives me that catch 22 situation - I want to race in the Elite Muscle Cars because I’m getting my affinity up for a few manufacturers, I’m high up on league board and most importantly its a right laugh! But when I win I end up in pinnacle and in MX-5’s I may as well walk round I’d be quicker - me and them just dont get on and that drops me back down again lol

I have been racing all week in the MX5 in pinnacle with on average 20 people. This is between 6pm to 10pm UK time.

I have just read through this entire post again and its suddenly occurred to me that it’s all about time zone. I have come to the conclusion there must be far more pinnicle racers in the UK and European time zones than anywhere else.

As ivor has said from 1800 gmt till 0000 gmt the leauges are packed, I still belive the lower classes and non race cars are not as popular but for those who do like it they should join at these times if possible

These leagues do not suit the typical pinnicle player. It’s different when it is s or r class or any actually race car. The porsche and nas car leagues have only ever been popular with the first week of dlc release. Hopefully when everyone starts getting the dlc from the forza rc this might change. Big mistake from t10 making tracks and cars part of a dlc. At least if they were separated people could buy 1 or 2 cars so they could participate. It’s shows t10’s main priority is money not user participation.

Yeah it was nice when they gave away the tracks for free in Forza 5, at least that gave us more options in the lobbies. I think I have driven on Homestead and VIR like twice since I got those packs.

That’s the last time I ever buy expansions like that for this game and it’s future iterations.

They even missed the obvious trick of including VIR tracks in the rotation the two occasions the 911 GT3 has been the Spec League, very disappointed by that like others I’ve only driven it in a race a handfull of times I use it more for taking pictures of liveries I’ve painted because the lighting is good lol

I would agree. I live on the west coast of America and at night pinnacle lobbies are a ghost town. During the day they are 20-24 strong all day.

The league’s are messed up it keeps freezing and I just finished 3rd in a race, and it prompoted me to first not just in the results but whilst waiting for others to finish.

There is some sort of lag going on at the moment it effects your race position but it does not effect your overall time. Everything has been playing up for the past few days even this forum has been unavailable a few times now. I just suffered this lag at Prague. I went to pit and drove flat out, didn’t even slow down for tyres. On exiting the pit I started to actually pit I did the first corner under the control of the Ai until he drove into a wall and couldnt find reverse. Certainly some strange things happening maybe it’s connected to horizon 3 hogging all the bandwidth

I understand the reason for wanting out of Pinnacle but even if you do manage to get dropped, it will just move you up again. I am kinda glad its hard to get demoted cause it really is not fair for you guys to come into Elite level and sit there winning every race. I see it all the time. So guys like me who do pretty well in leagues are stuck in Elite cause I can’t take podiums with you guys winning over and over and over. When you are like 5 seconds ahead of the 2nd best lap time you belong in Pinnacle. All that will happen is you will get moved up again the next week anyway, so it is really pointless unless you want to sit there losing which I know you guys don’t like either. The only way I can see of getting more people into Pinnacle is to promote more Elite racers. Promote the top say 10% of Elite to Pinnacle. Sure we may be bringing up the rear but it will be a full lobby and we can race each other for last place lol. That’s who I am racing, the guy in front of me and if I pass him I’ll worry about the next guy. That’s how it works for clean racers. I don’t have some childish need to win every race. It’s about slowly improving yourself. Basically it’s screwed up. I race Pinnacle guys in private and beat them so this really is not setup very well. I race clean as can be in Elite (ghost) and yet I know for a fact from the Pinnacle guys that some jerks that cut corners like there is no tmw get moved up and yet it will not move me. Rewarding cheating is atrocious and needs to stop. I don’t care at this point cause my focus is shifted to H3 but this really need to be ironed out for Forza 7. Stop rewarding cheaters, stop rewarding cheaters Turn 10. PC guys will never stand for this nonsense. I played some of the A league and it was waaay to easy. I’m bored getting podiums all the time, it is no challenge. If that’s happening I don’t even want to play. Will I do as well in Pinnacle? I am sure not but I will not get any better either unless there is good competition to motivate me. So move some more Elite guys up, I don’t care if I lose every race but I know for a fact I will improve in time, I’m sure the leagues are gonna dry up anyway with H3 out. Also let us invite friends to the lobby if we are in the same division. Why do I have to sit there for 10 minutes trying to find my friends? I promise I will find them anyway. I don’t want to play with a bunch of random cheaters, stop forcing us. You know why Pinnacle ghost is a little more full? A bunch of people I know who want to play together have been recently moved up. They can find each other so easily cause there is like 1 lobby with 3 people in it. So if they let us invite each other it wouldn’t be such a desolate punishment for doing well. I’m sure more would come if everyone could invite people to their league lobby.
Your welcome.

It must be that “bad” in Pinnacle that I know of several people who made a new gamertag so that they can carry on racing in Elite!

Why would anyone want to demote themselves? are they that desperate to get wins?

It’s not about the wins, it appears there’s not really many people in the lobbies.

I think another problem is the times are too restrictive. There are many leagues I would have liked to run, but my schedule prevented me from doing so. I’ve never been able to run the Nascar oval league because it’s only run in the afternoon where I am and I can’t race then.

It’s where most of a big group of clean racers are. Larger lobby numbers sway it too. They dont always win in Elite either. And there’s also the “fun” of “team” driving - in the A-Class week there up to five cars with my paintjobs on with their own numbers on, looks and feels good to be going around a track with them.
