Never Been Able To Play Online Since Launch

I picked up the game on day one, and I have never once been able to play online. A couple of my friends now have it, so its really starting to annoy me that I cant play it online. Prior, it wasn’t a big deal, I had no one else to play with, and many other games to play.

My NAT is fully open, and have no issues with any other game at all. I try to create private match, it says unable. I try to join an invite, unable to join. Even clicking on one of the open class type races, will say waiting for match, then not able to join.

Ive hard reset the Xbox many times. Again, I have no issues with any other game, or any other feature of the Xbox. Never had a problem with any other Forza either.

Have you tired uninstalling it and then reinstalling it?

Yes, uninstalled all content, even DLC. Did a hard reset, then reinstalled it again.

Also just updated firmware on my router to eliminate that as a possibility.

I signed in to my friend’s account, and it still wont play online with his (though he plays fine on his Xbox).

This may be a very silly question but do you have an Xbox Live “Gold” account, I believe it’s needed to play Forza online but I’m not sure about other games. Apologies for perhaps asking the obvious.

Well from what you have said so far it is a problem on your end. Whether that be its your ISP, router, ports or Gold for Live.

I would suggest checking that your IPsec is enabled in your routers settings.

Yes, I have gold. Ive had gold since 06, which I don’t see how I wouldn’t have gold, when I said I played all other games, and Forzas, online without issue.

I have an ASUS RT_N65U, with upnp enabled, and open NAT on everything.

Pau1o88, thanks for to IPsec thing. That was disabled. Enabling that, and turning off “instant on” on the X1, Im now in a lobby.
