Iam not getting the hang of it… setting up a car, witch lines to drive etc.
I looked at all most every you tube post and read all the drift tutorials but they are all saying something else, hard springs soft springs hard tires, bigger wheels, 3 gear 4th gear, a lot of negative chamber not so much negative chamber a lot of toe a little toe . so iam getting confused…the 4 cars i use ill get them around 12000 points at longbeach, in all kinds of setups, but non are verry good and cause iam not knowing exactly what iam doing iam afraid iam learning it the wrong way or the wrong things so who can HELP ME PLEASE !!!
The conclusion I can draw from your results is that one tune is not really going to give you more points than another because there is no single perfect tune. They are subjective. In our tuning video we specifically state that how one person sets up their car wont work for everybody. A drifting tune also is not necessarily going to make you a better drifter. It’s about setting up a car to feel comfortable to you and your driving style. If you are new to Forza you may have not yet developed a drifting style and it doesn’t happen overnight. Many people here have drifted for months or even years and still continue to get smoother, faster, more angle, closer tandems etc.
On a side note: How many points you get on each track doesn’t determine how great of a drifter you are so don’t let that discourage you.
(I’m going to sound super old by saying this, but…) I started drifting on Forza during a time when there was no points system. We just drifted together, tandem, battled and had fun. We still do that to this day and if you ask me it’s where Forza drifting is at. I believe you learn to drift better and develop your own style faster when you drift with others, follow them, watch their lines, try to match or even beat them, compare your speed and angle to theirs, see when they enter, how they enter, how they exit etc. It’s a different set of skills I feel like you’d be missing out on if you only chased after points on a leaderboard.
I look at it a bit like basketball; yeah it’s kinda fun to shoot free throws by yourself and you can get better in that way but it’s simply not the same as if you had a group of people there playing b-ball with you.
That’s just my advice. Take from it what you wish.
If you want to tandem or drift, hit me up on xbox live whenever.
Haha indeed i started drifting for the 15000 points at long beach at the first run i had 8000 points and wanted that achievement.but 2 weeks later still dont have the chievo but the tire smoke went up my brain and i caught the drifting virus. So i watched some replays and videos ( and yes all so from you dis guys AWESOME ) , Tuned my cars in several ways went to the test and top gear track just trying to find the revs were the power is trying drifting circles and easy corners and realized that i dont care about the points anymore i want to drift and iam doing things wrong technically cause i i get the same results eventually with all kinds off setups. As you said i need someone on my playing ground who know the BBal rules So i can stop doing free shots and start learning how to play the Game ! so i gonna do more practicing, and one of those days i send you a friend request and hope that youre willing to help me so i can do some proper drifting and tandem cxuse saw some tandem movies that some crazy ass shit ,
tnx for the fast reply !!
Sounds good man! Glad we could help. Send me a FR whenever. Cheers!
