To all i have recently restarted all my old forza games and saw that for forza 6 you can make 5 mill credits per game if you have 300 cars in your garage in the older forzas suffice to say i only have around 50 in each game i iwll be getting a xbox one sometime in june so i guess my question is do i really need to try to get 300 cars for the 5 million or is the credits you can win in 6 enough to not worry about it?
You can earn alot in forza 6. Every time you level up you receive a free spin for prizes from cars to 1 million every time. I currently have 20 million and I’m probably one of the poor guys on this game lol. I guess the bonus 5 million your speaking about wouldn’t hurt though.
A lot of it just depends on how much time you have. If you are going to play FM6 a lot, you will earn plenty, no need to boost your beginning credits.
Of course it doesnt hurt to have 5 - 20 million to start with either, but the time put in to earn that wouldve earned you more in FM6.
If you want a higher gamerscore, higher tier level, a beginning boost and you have the time, go ahead and do it.
But it isnt necessary, you make so much leveling up that you dont need anything else.

For 6 i do plan to get the ultimate version with vip and car packs.

Just a side-note but if you buy the “ultimate” edition with VIP and car packs (which I have as well) note that you will NOT have all cars currently in the game. You will miss out on the following “unicorn cars” :
1970 Dodge Charger R/T Fast & Furious Edition
This car was available for a limited time only for a limited selection of countries where an Xbox video promotion was running. I live in Belgium, no promotion here so I got screwed over. The car was received by players in October 2015 if I’m not mistaken, no word whatsoever from Turn10 if players from other countries have an opportunity to buy/get the car as well. With the Fast and Furious car pack from the limited edition you get screwed over since one of the main themed cars (this Dom’s charger) isn’t even in the pack! Alternatively, the car is available in another Fast & Furious car pack for Forza Horizon 2.
1966 Nissan Silvia
This car was hidden in the career menus in december (oddball way to buy the car) but the january content update removed the ability to buy it that way. So currently not available anymore and absolutely no word whatsoever from Turn 10 about what’s going on or if there is a way people can buy/get it again in the future.
1971 Ferrari #2 Ferrari Automobili 312 PB
Ths car was the januari unicorn, Turn 10 stopped adding free cars to content updates but thought it would be a good idea to have gamers “work” for them. gasp Well in januari it was rather easy to do but since that month is passed it’s not available anymore. Turn 10 vagely said other opportunities will be available in the future to buy the car but no other info yet. Alternatively, the car is also available in a car pack for Forza 5.
1977 Aston Martin V8 Vantage
This month’s unicorn car but instead of having a rather easy way to get the car Turn10 decided it would be a good idea gasp to make it near impossible to get it. I predict less than 5% of the people who tried to get the car will only be able to get it since you need to beat this really pro driver from Turn10 in a very boring car (heavyweight Rolls Royce that drives like a frighttrain) on a track that is absolutely horrible to drive on with… a fright train. If you are a new / mediocre / good / high skilled player forget this car being accessible. You really need to be extremely good to have a chance.
There you have it, just want to make sure that people who buy the ultimate edition and expect (just like I did) that they will have all the cars in the game available to them are well informed that this is not the case.
PS - I have both Forza 5 and Forza Horizon 2 as well, Forza 5 is indeed just a prologue for Forza 6, absolutely not worth to get it if you plan on getting Forza 6. Every single track and almost every single car from Forza 5 is in Forza 6 anyway, plus F6 has a lot more from both as well. Forza Horizon 2 on the other hand, awesome game! I bought it in the summer of 2015 and had a blast playing it until Forza 6 was released. High diversity of cars (including a Porsche expansion - also coming to Forza 6 btw) and a lot of fun to cruise around in the game.
Just play the game and don’t worry about the 300 car stuff. I have over 60 million credits now and never played FM5. What’s 5 mil? Chump change.

There were 5 Forza games that could earn you the 5 million so you could start with up to 25 million plus you get the satisfaction of also rattling up your Forza rewards level earning you big credits every single week and hey isn’t that what we buy the game for to go as far as we can in every game.
