A question about Xbox 360
Why give us gifts if we have to be gold to download them ?
Not everyone has gold.
I’m lucky enough to have it but on my 360 I have several accounts .
one for the wife.
one for the grandson for when he comes over.
We have all been gifted a car but I’m the only one who can download it.
Just seems so silly and the wife is not happy either !!
Gifts to everyone who plays the Forza Motorsport series is done for those who have recorded (at some point) scores/achievements for the game. It wouldn’t make much sense to skip anyone not currently a Gold member if their Gold has expired, but they’ll be renewing it the next payday, etc.
Besides, maybe an Xbox Live Free Gold Weekend will be coming up within the 30 days the car will be sitting there waiting to be claimed.

So if they go gold for 48 Hours are they able to download the gifts ??

If the gift message is sitting there still then the most likley answer is yes but it would need to be tested.
I think I may have a 48 hour code at home I can send you if you want to use it to test.
I won’t be home for a few hours though.
