NASCAR inspired liveries (and more)

Still an amazing job, never disappoint! I will say though, just being honest, this car has so many curves that it just doesn’t look as good as your other designs, am I the only one that thinks that? Might just be my personal taste.

I always expect people to be honest about my designs. I actually agree with you about the design on this car. Most NASCAR designs most of the time look better on more “square” or boxy cars. I do however enjoy the challenge of a curvy car, which why I lately used the Vipers as my “target” cars. The boxy cars can at times get too easy to port an original NASCAR paint scheme to. But in the long run, each car has its own unique challenge in getting the design to flow and get it to look like it was originally made for that particular car. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. Just like other things we do in life.

Haha yeah man I gotcha, sometimes the self satisfaction and challenge makes it more then worth it to do something that some people may think doesn’t look as good as the rest, but it definitely shows more bout the person behind the design.

For me…all cars are primed for a NASCAR design. It’s just hard for me to bring myself to throw a NASCAR design on non-USA cars…though I have done this a few times…it’s just an ole NASCAR nostalgia/ loyalty thing that keeps me from it…even though Toyota is in NASCAR…lol.

My biggest “issue” when it comes to recreating certain NASCAR paint schemes is “brand loyalty”. For instance, I try my hardest not to make a Chevy livery on a Ford or on a Dodge. This doesn’t feel AS bad about Dodge since they’re no longer part of NASCAR, but it still makes me prefer to put a Chevy livery on an SRT Viper than on a Dodge Viper. Call me crazy. Also, in FM4, it really hurts in my heart when people put Chevy paint schemes on the Ford stock cars and vice versa. But other than this brand loyalty, I personally don’t feel that any car is taboo to NASCAR-ify. It might not be everybody’s cup of tea, but oh well. Like I’ve mentioned before, I don’t design for others, I design for my own private garage, and share my designs in case others want them too. In some cases, others really DO want them too, like is the case with the #4 Budweiser patriot paint scheme that I put on the Renault Spark Formula E car: It now has 5000+ downloads and 5300+ uses in three weeks.

I feel you & I’m the same way. I’m HUGE on “brand loyalty” just like you are. I’m trying to open my mind to applying my retro NASCAR designs to non-'Merica cars.

I’ve put a NASCAR design on an Infinity, but I think that’s it so far. I know, I know…Infinity is labled as USA but we all know that it is actually Nissan/ Japanese.

One way that I’m forcing myself to break out of my shell is by using one of your liveries on a non-'Merican car…specifically the Tony Stewart/ Stewart-Haas #14 Bass Pro Shops 1980 Abarth Fiat 131.

The #14 Bass Pro Shops design looks wicked on that car & looks even more wicked when watching race replays!

If there’s an RCMP Challenger, it only makes sense to have a Charger too:

Another amazing job, almost feel bad commenting on here so often bout how good these designs are but at the same time I’d feel guilty if I didnt!

A brand new design for a change, especially since it’s not NASCAR related:

Is there any chance of getting some penske designs?? Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano or Brad Keselowski

cheers

Nope, no chance for those drivers. With my file save limits reached, I will probably continue my designing in Forza Horizon 2 and be done completely in Forza 5. It feels dumb to continue in Forza 5 where I would have to delete a design I want to keep when I need to start from scratch in Horizon 2.
