My two weeks notice, goodbye Forza...

It’s been fun Forza. We had good times. I remember when I crapped myself looking at the graphics of your glorious Horizon 3 game. I then purchased an Xbox One later that night. I remember playing the game and hosting car meets with old buddies. I also remember purchasing the Expansion Pass expecting the second expansion to be worth my money. Since you guys wont refund me for my purchase, I have to respectfully put in my two weeks notice.

I’ll be quitting two weeks from today. If you won’t give my money back for an expansion I, and many other players, do not care about, then I shall not give you money for any games in the future. Maybe, if you take your thumbs out of your tail pipes and realize that the gaming industry is not all profit and that you can’t just do whatever when making a game, then I will come back. Until then, I will be quitting. Don’t con customers into purchasing a product knowing the second part of said product will obviously be hated my many players. There is no way that you did not know Hot Wheels would not be loved by many players. I’m not here to whine. I’m not here to complain. I am just done, done with the crap that Turn 10 has pulled. I paid for an expansion similar to Blizzard Mountain. A realistic, enjoyable, driving experience. I did not pay to re-live my childhood memories. I also didn’t pay for you to sell out to the Hot Wheels company.

Thank you for the memories, but screw you for thieving me of my money for a product so extraordinarily outrageous.
I Am Red Headed…

Contact whomever you bought it from…Microsoft

You’re talking like it’s already been decided that most people hate the expansion and hardly anyone likes it, yet as of now the trailer has over 5x as many likes as dislikes on Youtube, and the majority of the highest rated comments are positive.

Need some chips to go with all that salt??? if you paid for an expansion similar to blizzard mountain how did you know before this was announced that the second expansion was similar to blizzard mountain? Are you another person that didn’t get what they really wanted in the game? Oh poor soul. Talk to Microsoft for a refund and when you get that refund have fun paying $20 for blizzard mountain if you liked it that much.

I am not impressed with this expansion either but i do not think its right to say surely they should have known many players would not love it. That is once again “my opinion should be everyones opinion”.

It looks like they may have actually accurately predicted many “like” this expansion idea.

I initially liked the way PG/ Turn 10 did a not full on sim game and i did not use the arcade term, but not too sure i like the recent trends.

You bought a “Season Pass” without knowing what was in it beforehand, this one’s on you buddy.

Connor, you know very well there’s no DLC called a Season Pass. Nobody in this thread has referred to something by that wording, so you’re not quoting anyone. Please stop using phrasing that doesn’t exist with regard to Forza, it just contributes to confusion.

Was more of a general term, which was why i put it inside of the quotes, as it’s the equivalent comparison to what it would be in any other game.

Though, as requested, I’ll stop using that term.

Expecting two big expansions like Blizzard Mountain was a stretch until recently. Only Horizon 2 and Motorsport 6 have had a second expansion and both of those were simply a larger Porsche car pack. Whether you like the concept or not, providing two expansions with significant content is much better value than it could have been.

The point of the expansion pass is paying for all the content at one time for less than full price. Whether you buy it before or after the content has been announced is up to you. There’s no refund for being an early adopter.

Are people getting to play this early?
Pretty sure we have no idea how this plays out yet.
But ok…

What a drama queen. It’s $25 literally no one cares if you’re leaving. The community is better off without you.

Why even wait 2 weeks. Leave now. This is one of the coolest and most unexpected expansions of all time in the racing genre - my opinion. I am so happy I purchased the expansion pass.

Seriously wait until you try it. Looks like fun to me. H3 is an arcade game with arcade physics. They do something innovative and new and you are ready to throw in the towel without even knowing what it is like. This may bring me back to H3 for more than doing Forzathon and collecting bonus cars.

Well, I’ve leveled my share of criticism at the game for being too non-serious and diverting too far away from the Forza franchise… but giving a two week notice like this… I’m sorry, but I do not feel bad for the OP at all. Neither do I feel that he/she got ripped off in any way. Just my opinion, mind you.

I pre-ordered Horizon 3 because I really enjoyed the demo and I did so with the standard edition cos’ I did not need the extras in the other two. Now, as a consumer, it is up to us to do some research before preordering stuff. Did I get all the extras afterwards? Yes, I did… but only when they went on sale and I knew what I was in for.

For instance, if I didn’t like a particular aspect of Horizon 3 (which was not present in the demo) I did not feel I was entitled to a refund. As another example, if I get the Car Pass (which I did actually because the offer was good) knowing that I may not even touch some of the cars, I would still get it, because I knew what I was in for. The value for money was good so I got it. Did I want a refund just because some of the cars are not going to get as much use in my garage? No.

Did I get BM? Absolutely - it was good value when it went on sale and I’m enjoying it. No complaints. Am I fan of pre-ordering stuff online not knowing what the finished add-on or product is going to look like? No. I suppose in future, the OP will probably not pre-order expansions and then complain later that he doesn’t like it and wants a refund.

Lesson learned I suppose: if you already paid for something you have no idea about, don’t complain and enjoy your money’s worth. Heck, you might even like it.

Personally speaking, I could never buy into all the silliness revolving around Hot Wheels but that’s just me. Always a sucker for the FM games. However, a realistic open road game is very welcome but it seems the devs do not want to head in that direction yet. And that’s okay. At the end of the day, I know exactly what my money’s worth and what I’m getting for it. Maybe folks need to practice some patience and not go on a shopping spree knowing they may or may not like the final (yet to be announced) product.

I was really hoping for a Rally Storm Island type thing but no big deal, I’m ready for some fun and relaxing when I’m not playing Forza 6. Jumping through flaming hoops can’t be that boring. There may be more expansions in the future too, we don’t know. H3 seems pretty popular and they are gonna want to keep that going. Plus the next Forza probably won’t be in September but when the Scorpio is out a little later.
