Nice driving Alf! Looks like I should have gone with the stock tyres on the Ram. I couldn’t get on terms with them using a wheel but the street tyres were relatively drivable. That thing is such a pig of a handler lol. Hopefully I can claw something back around Nurb GP but not particularly looking forward to Silverstone in my second least favourite tank ha ha.
Thinking it now I might have been better off if I would have used the Vandura on Hockenheim, and would still have defender on me.
Oh well, the gap which I had was still just few tenths, and mick has found almost 1.5 seconds which I didn’t find from the defender in B class…
Oh well, I still have my Jeep at least.
I’m starting to think that Raptor, Hokie, and Zeppelin were the smartest in this one.
I went in thinking that a class would be kind of the key, I assumed after my tests everyone was going with the rally fighter for c class. The ram runner was the worst of the bunch ,excluding the hummer and gurka, which is why I used it in e. It was closer for me there than any other class. That said the gmcs were good in d class, and then I had the 2 best options left for b and a.
We had quite similat thoughts, Althuogh I had GMC Syclone for B and defender went for D… Now as I think of it, it might have been the wrong choise, Vandura being slightly faster than I thought, and as I see Mick’s defender going way faster than the my GMC on B… some of it is possibly driver difference, but I’m really starting to think that I should have tested more before I made my decision.
I thought I’d made a mistake leaving the Ram until Monza, but in the end I lost less than 2 seconds to the fastest car. I’m happy that my Defender will be competitive at Nurburgring so I guess it comes down to how well PRKid and I can get the Fighter to perform at Silverstone. Although Warlock is in the lead, he has already used the 3 best car brands so may struggle to maintain his place through B and A. Have we got enough breathing space to hold off the rest? Who knows, it’s going to be a very close call LOL.
This competition has turned out great Alf, and the cars performances have surprised me as well.
