My Forza 6 Multiplayer has not been working for many months. I have reported it , I have posted about it , I have been suspended for swearing about it, And yes i have tried every trick in the book. So please can someone give me an answer about it. I am sick and tired of this. But as i have noticed things have not changed from my previous complaints. If you guys have an answer please let me know . Thanks in advance.
Beside “not working” what are the issues you are seeing? Do you have error messages? If so, what are they? What have you done to check beside “every trick in the book”? Have you tested the Xbox One for Multiplayer? What is the result? What networking hardware (router/modem/gateway) are you using?
Here is an Xbox Support link to various issues: Xbox Support If you will start there, go through the help suggestions and come back with any error messages perhaps the situation can be fixed.
Hi there. I have deleted the game and re installed it. I have tried changing my DNS settings. I keep getting " Failed to find a game session " . I have opened my firewall on my router . I have a 2 meg internet line. It was working when i first got the game. My Latency reads on my xbox in the 400 mark. Everything else about my internet is running at top speed. I can join onto people if they are in an online lobby and thats about it. I can create a private match but all honesty i am lost for words
Latency that high is the problem. Here is a pretty good explanation of it: Latency versus Bandwidth - What is it? DSL FAQ | DSLReports, ISP Information
I would contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and tell them what your testing has shown and request them to check your line. If they’ve furnished your networking device, perhaps they will need to replace it or adjust your provisioned speed down just a bit. Sounds like your connection is bouncing off the walls and constantly getting lost, running into itself - so to speak - and therefore robbing you of the proper connection.
There’s the issue.
Back when the game launched and had more severe connection issues, it was recommended that your latency be below 150ms in order to play online.
While I don’t know anything about your home internet setup (and can’t offer advice even if I did), what worked for me was buying a new router, specifically the ASUS DSL-N55U. One I installed this I had zero issue with getting a reliable connection for Multiplayer, even with default settings on my console/router.
Thanks for that man i appreciate the feedback. The odd thing is that when i do a speed test on my laptop my latency is very low . I will however contact them and see what they can do for me.
Are you perhaps in the Xbox One Preview Beta? There are some similar problems there, but I go by the laptop speed tests (various websites) and at one point I was always testing out at maximum ratings - actually at or above what my ISP was providing, but having weird things happening. I was provisioned for the “max” yet getting pauses and abnormally high latency, plus failure to load web pages, too.
What the techs found was because of the distance (right at the almost-outside-the-coverage) from their Central Office the older phone lines couldn’t sustain that max speed. It was nothing to do with my setup, the gateway device I was using, etc.
So, the ISP backed down the provisioning just two megabytes from the maximum simply to give a little wiggle room in the pipeline. The lines (not any equipment, games or anything else) simply could not keep firing away at the higher speed (hence latency and interruptions) as the signals were bumping trying to pass each other. Backing it down actually provided better quality, eliminated things hammering into each other, and I’ve got a better connection overall which is more reliable.
Sort of like this: (DATA) which equaled an unreliable connection because incoming and outgoing were fighting for the space dominance, down to this ( DATA ) with sufficient “pipe” for the slightly lower “speed”.

Doesn’t matter what “edition” you have, but there is no clue at all in “I had the same problem since months !” Details, details help.

There are hundreds/thousands of Internet Service Providers, and many multiples of routers/modems/gateways with all kinds of different settings. Please do an bit of investigation.
Hi there. I own the forza 6 ultimate edition. I did delete the BETA as i did not need it anymore. I have heard that my speed test on the xbox one is going to america somewhere. I am able to play horizon 2 online and forza 5 its just forza 6 that gives me troubles. I do believe the latency is an issue but damn on launch day it worked like a dream.
Same issue here I get the can retrieve server info and can only press OK can’t create or join lobby’s
I’ve opened my ports on the router an done everything else still it won’t work pretty annoying.
I’ve got a 100/100Mbit internet connection and I run super low latency in every game my router is the biggest linksus you can get.
I’m out of ideas so if you guys can come up with any thing please hit me back.
