MSI Afterburner/rivatuner OSD still crashing game on launch

hi all

as you know the game has had 2 updates recently and the current known issues doesnt list that OSD/overlays may crash the game

well i can confirm that MSI afterbuner OSD still crashes the game, you can run with afterburner and rivatuner running but as soon as you enable the OSD the game will crash

this is something that needs to be fixed as bentchmarking this game on various hardware is very hard when you cant monitor system usage

system specs

CPU: I7-2600 @ 3.4GHz
RAM: 8GB 1333MHz DDR3
GPU: Nvidia GTX 970 4GB
Storage: 480GB SanDisk ULTRA II (OS + FH4 install location) + 2TB Toshiba HDWD120

Same here, still waiting on a fix for that and OBS so I can use Gamecapture. It’s their anti tamper stuff that won’t let inject anything at all.

Forza 7 crashes because of overlays and antivirus.

Horizon 3 crashes because of overlays and antivirus.

They are never going to fix this issue.

afterburner overlay works in horizon 3 and forza 7.

those games don’t even need an overlay to crash puh :stuck_out_tongue:

and yes i have tested running afterburner and having it completely closed down, the difference will make you cry when you crash 5 races in regardless of running, not running, installed, not installed.
