Some good stuff in here mate. I’d say work on the air intakes. The ones on the GT86 could be a tad lighter. With time and practice you will really achieve. I hope to see more.
Funny you mention that after posting i took them off to try some thing a bit different with a wide body kit. Any tips would be greatly appreciated as i remember your paints from Forza 5. PTG have always been friendly and great to see they still are.
Glad I could be of help mate. Eventually I might do a tutorial with pictures for the vents, for now though I hope that words will suffice.
To make the vents look more real and sunken into the car what I do is this. Place a small black rectangle where you want the absolute deepest part of your vent to go, then to the side of that place your black gradient. Stretch the black gradient so that it appears as if it’s getting darker towards the black rectangle. At this point the vent will start coming together. Next you will want to place gradient triangles to frame the vent, this helps to add to the illusion of depth. Place the darkest part just beside the original black rectangle and stretch to reach a little farther than the black square gradient. Make these triangles thin and place them on the top and bottom of the original black rectangle to properly frame the vent. You might want to further frame the vent with a slightly lighter than body color border to really make it pop. Also sometime you might want to place square “corner gradients” inside the vent to add extra shading, this isn’t always necessary though. In the end the vent should look something like what the rear and front quarter panel vents look like on the GTR in the picture below.
Here is a replica cobra i made this morning. Just a quick one as i used to own one as felt nostalgic. That reminds me we need an A9X Torana in the game.
Here is a work in progress. Just paint atm. was gonna try a wide body but i think the lines are wrong on the body… This has taken 2 days to get how i like
Monster Energy with a touch of Redneck livery. Tried to keep it simple and not too busy with shapes and designs in the back ground. Hope you like it. And if you download please like the design.
Here is a earlyshot of my version of the HOONICORN. I will finish one day as i am just starting to learn wide body kits and vents. Any help or advice is appreciated.
