Originally on the 2005 Audi Team Champion USA car piloted by T. Kristensen, J.J. Lehto, and M. Werner, this livery has been my favorite one since I first laid eyes on it. All the better it was on the R8, my all time favorite LMP car. Now, this popped up more out of necessity than decision, but I’m actually pretty happy with the results: In the absence of the Audi R8 LMP car from the available cars to buy in the game, despite it actually being in the game already, I had to modify my favorite livery to fit the R18 E-Tron.
All in all I think it takes to the car really well, I may do a few more of my favorite R8 liveries on the R18 until the R8 becomes available for use.
Thanks! I actually did quite a lot of replica race cars on FM4, I just never really got into it as much as the fantasy stuff. The new fonts and textures make it a lot easier to make accurate replicas now, you can probably expect to see more from me.
Following my accidental destruction of the R-18’s livery save (still mad about that…) there is light at the end of the tunnel. Today’s add on pack included the long missing R-8, and I wasted no time in recreating the livery on the car it was meant for. It’s up and available on the design catalog, the file name is “Champion ADT 05”
