Minimum Internet Speed to play online

Hi
Do you know what is the Minimum Internet Speed for smooth playing online. What ping and upload I need?

I play multiplayer with about 2 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up. It might not be super smooth but it is fully playable.

My speed is around 6MB but upload 0.5MB. Hopefully it will work ok. Ping is from 20ms to 80ms

Ping is a little on the high end, but you’re okay on speed - though we all need to remember the speed the Internet Service Provider (ISP) quotes to us is only from your wall plug and the modem/router/gateway device to their own central office which is the closest to your location. And they’ll only guarantee 80% at any given to to their own equipment. The key is “DSL or better.” Connections where the signal is wireless (from a location to your home) or via satellite have built-in overhead and built-in lag.

Once the wired signal leaves your ISP’s CO, it is into the vast web of connections and anything can happen, including hopping around through DNS servers, various backbone providers, and cover thousands of miles before it reaches the final destination. And then return to you. In an international game on a global service like Xbox Live, the ultimate tests are being made with likely concurrent connections from several different continents into the same race like in Forza Motorsport 6.

Another thing that should not be underestimated: ethernet vs wifi
Before, I connected the xbox one to the router through wifi (a few meters away from each other, not even a long distance) and I ALWAYS had problems in FM5/FM6 online.

Now I play online with the ethernet cable. What can I say? It solved all my problems.

I just hardwired Xbox. I ve got a game installed but Im waiting for wheel. When will arrive I will test

I play with close to 4 MB down, and almost 1 MB up - perfectly smooth. Sometimes I do get the weak internet connection message (F5) although when I’ve played with my friends, they’ve never mentioned my car lagging - usually you’ll see cars moving about and jumping oddly; that’s a lag from the other person’s end. If they do not see your car moving about unnaturally on the track, there is no lag on your end.

If your phone line is in good shape, a 4 MB DSL connection is quite ample for smooth lag-free multiplayer.

My tx arrived but I had trouble to go online looks like servers are not working
