I found it really odd to have to adjust spring rates etc on a car that does not have springs … lol
Then I had to choose a drive shaft that has a tailshaft from a RWD as the icon…
How hard would it be to add a different word here and there for suspension components and not call them springs when they had hydrolastic
suspension? or have an icon of the correct component for a car that is different.
Finally I went to select tires and only had the choice of rally compounds, this car has a huge pedigree of circuit racing so why only have rally tires? I assumed the HW redline compound would now be there and be useful but NOPE…just rally.
Anyway I deleted the car and went back to the original one with better options.
Then while on a tuning bender decided to tackle my new D Type Jag…what??? no v12 in a jag?
I can put a v12 in a mustang but not in a Jag?? - Who is making these decisions? Isnt the Jag best known for its V12 in general?
Finally the Jag has some stupid glitch when driving it where the body work behind the driver flaps around stupidly, its distracting and really ruins the cars appeal.
A) you don’t need a V12 as a fully modded D-Type is the fastest car in the game (without using some sort of cheat/glitch, etc).
B) Jaguar brought out the V12 in 1971. D-Types were built from 1954-1957 and initially they had 3.4L inline 6s, later cars had 3.8s. These were factory built race cars and incredibly successful ones at that.
Nobody has ever stuffed a V12 in one. Anyhow, moot point now as the right D Type is worth as much as $20,000,000 today. Yes, twenty million dollars.
I’m a Jaguar geek… it’s half the reason I have the game. Now, if they’d only add the early XJRs and an XJ Portfolio I could play my fleet…
A) is that the fastest with the V10 or the stock motor? I have not tried as yet because the silly glitch with the body work puts me off driving it.
B) i do know about the original motors but my point was more about why exclude a fantasy option of a V12 in a brand of car known for its v12 ? the V12 is there for many other cars that never offered it aswell, most of them are too small to house it but its still there as an option.
I thought maybe Jaguar themselves said no to the V12 in that car in here, but then why is there a V10?
I’ll mention one thing… The Chevy S10.
From the factory, you got a straight-4 or V6. That hasn’t stopped dozens of gear-heads from squeezing in LS# blocks and V8 S10’s are common. BUT, it requires removing the accessory belt and running everything like your AC, water pump, etc on separate electric motors. The closest we get to this is the first-gen Toyota Celica with the bumper-mounted intercooler. So just because it’s been done a few times in reality doesn’t mean its easy, a good idea, or even worthwhile in a video game. Otherwise we’d all be running 2000+HP viper’s and 1500+HP supra’s…
