Yeah, I’m currently in a meetup at Maple Valley Short… rammers EVERYWHERE.
I can’t handle one more second of this!!! I’ve decided that, from now on, I’m not participating in ANY meetups that a marshal is not in.

Well it’s weekend there are probably also some drunk and otherwise DUI ppl.
A bit off topic, but can we have some kind of unspoken rule regarding PI on cars?
In FM7 it seemed like people usually maxed out their cars in each class (B600 A700 S800 etc) and then had spectacular battles on Nordschleife. But in FM23 it’s surprisingly hard to find anyone with rounded PI numbers.
All I’m saying is that it makes no sense to have a race battle around Nordschleife or FK with 10 o 20+ PI difference as that’s roughly when skill stops being a factor - but people are still trying to do that for some reason.
It’s about fun, let ppl have fun with their 753 PI cars.
I see how it might have sounded wrong - I wasn’t exactly complaining or trying to force everyone to do that. It’s obviously an open mode and everyone can drive whatever they want. But at the same time, huge part of fun is in 1v1 battles. And it’s just easier to make them happen if you can find someone with equal performance. Tbh that “unspoken rule” kind of existed already, I just wanted more people to be aware of it.
I only drive in these Meetups and Trackdays, so I don’t feel so alone just maxing out my car levels for manufacturer discount. I don’t even care about competition, if I wanted that I would play regular races. And I have the feeling many ppl feel the same way or similar to me. All I want is driving my cars and not being alone against AI while doing that.
Maybe I make myself a car with a PI of 666 just for fun.
That’s a good point actually - about regular racing. Maybe since FM23 has actual functioning multiplayer with regulations, less people look for competition in track day lobby. Because in FM7, Nordschleife in meetups was the only place you could have a fair race lol. And half of my xbox friend list were just people who liked doing battles there.
It’s obviously ok to have different views on this, but for me it’s the main charm of Nordschleife meetups.
Why aren’t there any circuit racing or initial d style trains, Best motoring monster touge? I’m not much of a drifter!
Some ppl don’t know anything about Anime stuff and japanese car culture etc., ppl like me for example. I have no idea what you are talking about.

In brief, the rules: Two races, if the pursuing car can keep up with the leader, it wins, the second race the cars change places.
And if the pursuing car always keeps up it’s endless?
Why? It’s a section of the track. If she’s about 3 lengths behind at the finish, she’s a loser. You have to keep up with the leader! Then they swap places.
Yeah it’s like I thought, something I wouldn’t like. But good luck finding ppl playing that with you.
I don’t think there’s any official etiquette guidelines for meetups, and there’s absolutely none in-game.
Meetups are essentially free roam from Forza Horizon games, and while one could assume that “don’t hit other cars” is a rule, that’s not explicitly stated nor do you get penalties for doing so.
I’m with you @JohnDoe9302 on this. No interest for me.
And on that other track day discussion you were having with @opudalo1337 . What was his thing about “unspoken rules” on track day meet ups? To me those are just about getting together and hot lapping with whatever your car is you brought to the party. No race competition or anything unless it’s just between friends for fun.
They are rare now but I think it will become more popular as more people become more acquainted with the FK course.
It’s not anime stuff and is fairly well known.
Friendly competition with a stranger with a car of similar performance level can also be fun. I can’t believe that I have to explain this. If you don’t enjoy having such battles, you don’t even have to worry about “unspoken rules”. In FM7 it was normal for people to look for an honest opponent and do laps together around Nordschleife.
Known by who? Ppl that know Anime stuff?
Do you know the history of the origin of the idea of Fujimi? I’m not just talking about Japan and serpentines and the types of races that took place there. This is a fairly well-known topic all over the world, I don’t know where you’re from!
Apparently this guy is still very young and doesn’t know the whole history of mountain serpanitons!
Like a month ago I didn’t know anything about this Fujimi Kaido, I honestly don’t care about japanese stuff, not at all. Just because you know this stuff, doesn’t mean it’s common knowledge.
