Manually activated headlights, hazard lights while racing

I would also like to see a Manual Lights ON / OFF option added into the game. The current system of lights turning on automatically could even be retained as the default setting with Manual Lights being added to the settings menu as an option .

Being able to turn them on/off ourselves seems kinda like a no brainer…

I agree, the option to toggle headlights during driving is a must have. This would also give players the option for better tachometer visibility when needed. (For those HUD off/Interior drive view folks)

If we’re blessed with a feature like high-beams, there should be an option to turn off opponent high-beams. Unfortunately I can imagine some folks being rude with a feature like this.

this feature would be a really good addition to the game, especially considering league racing
multiclass or not flashing your lights is a good thing.

would also like to add that the right d-pad key is not used on featured multiplayer nor private!!! so it would be perfect for it to be there.

About the abrupt change. Is it possible to have the lights fade in intensity as the sunlight gets brighter?

Recently, a similar thread in the THub was closed:

Explanation: “We are closing this topic as “Won’t Fix” for technical reasons: car headlights are aligned to game-world timing and cannot react to brightness”.

Okay, they cannot react to environmental brightness (which makes sense) but they surely could react to a keybind, i.e. be activated manually?

The same goes for wipers.

These features are a must-have for a title that’s meant to be considered a sim

Yes, I really think like that. Or have a submenu in the select for example that has all the lights. And be able to do bursts. Long and short lights…

The headlights for all cars, turn on too late at night and turn off too early in the morning. The photo attached was taken at sunrise shortly after my headlights were shut off. My proposal to fix this is to allow the player to map the headlights to any button.

Greetings T10,

I’ve absolutely had it with the headlight and tail light issues in this game. Sometimes, only the parking lights and front bumper lights are on, and no tail lights. At other times, the brake lights and interior lights are on and no headlights or at least parking/front bumper lights.

Some cars have their lights lit, some don’t.

This is all really silly, concistent, and unnecssary. I’m not going to post any videos because this nonsense has to stop as of now. Also at times when the cars need headlights, they don’t come on. Again, that’s just plain stupid.

Give us a headlight on/off toggle NOW please and preferably one for parking lights, hi/low beam and wipers.

Thanks!

Oh shucks, literally just created a post about this!

They have delayed this for far too long. I want my headlight toggle now and also the ability to switch bumper/parking/fog lights on and off. Hazards, high beam, and wipers would be the cherry on top.

I’ve created topic like this but I can’t find it in the list, so I guess I should create it again.
I just want to have control under lights in the race, because the game turns them on really late sometimes and it’s annoying. It would be great to have them on d-pad instead of kinda useless chat, cause if I want to tell something to anyone I will tell him it after the race.
And it would be a nice feature to have a high and low beams, cause in multiclass racing it can help to remind slow class cars that there’s faster class approaching.
Also turning lights can help to tell slower class drivers where will you go to let faster class go through.
And hazard lights can replace chat if you need to tell someone “Thank you”

P. S. I found my previous message about it, sorry for creating another one

so, this feature will be added? I think it’s necessary with the multi class races.

It would be very great, if I have the possibility to turn on/ off the car’s headlights manually. In simulating game this easy feature is must to be.

replying to bump this thread. One of the most important features of multiclass racing and its still not an option in this game

How is this not a thing in 2025.

Just finished a GT3 race and so could of used a headlight flash toggle to used lower class cars out of my way, as a result I have to second guess what they are gonna do and even break so much earlier so as not to collide.

Have a bump, we need more votes.

We can use this to flash the vehicles lights to signal that the player is going to overtake another driver or going to make a move. (especially useful in multi class racing)

This can be controlled by clicking the left bumper while driving.
