VW Santana
Although it’s from 2012 it looks like a 90s car and kinda feels like one as well. As FWD the first chassis reinforcement is a must. Very wobbly but has nearly all meta swaps (VTEC, LS3, Racing V12, Racing V8). There’s certainly a good build in there somewhere. Didn’t have the motivation to go through all of it.
MG Cyberster
I feared for the worst (DaVinci level) but it’s actually okay. Unfortunately A800 on Rallies, full weight reduction and no aero doesn’t work due to ~4PI. Going with sports reduction and filling up the PI with front tire width/brake upgrades ended up as expected - it makes the car worse.
Rallies, full weight reduction, max front/min rear aero is the build. Looks extremely awful but it’s okay for an EV. Don’t see a Dirt or CC build.
Lynk & Co 05+
As others have already pointed out this thing has no drag. Easily the SUV with the lowest drag, more or less on the level of some meta cars. Rallies, full weight reduction, stock engine, no aero on A800 would’ve been a top 3 SUV prior to the rear profile size update. It has none and thus falls behind a lot. The best SUV without profile size upgrades and it feels amazing to drive. @ziperrPL or @geistwriter may come up with a CC build. Offroads, Racing V8 fits into A800 and it goes over 400 km/h.
Didn’t expect it but it’s my highlight of the pack.
Wuling MiniEV
Meme car and the first EV powerbuild. Bodykit, RWD, Drifts, maxed out MissionR engine on A800. Fastest EV time on Marathon by a mile but nearly undriveable. Wheelspin up to 310 km/h. 99% of the time I had to throttle control, took a break midway because my finger got crampy. Impressive time for this thing but no viable build for anyone.
It can fit AWD, bodykit, Offroads and maxed out MissionR for S900 Dirt/CC. It’s absolute madness but this could be something. The acceleration is brutal. Driving is like A-Class speed through turns → X-Class acceleration - > A-Class turns. Broke some Dirt speed zones where I had S900 times.
if I had to guess, “European Automotive” will focus on countries that aren’t UK (and maybe not even Italy) so we might see Koenigsegg Gemera or Bugatti Bolide, etc
Figures that the pint-sized EV would have some crazy broken build. Me, I drove it around stock for a minute or two and laughed at the fact that I just paid real money for it. Not in a bad way, mind you, just the admission that I’m a degenerate completionist. Well at least the chuckle was worth the price of a burger.
This sounds like a pretty miserable experience but really further brings into question the “logic” behind such available upgrades to this vs a car that would have been much better suited for it: the Manx 2.0. Appeal for the paid DLC possibly? (Nice review btw, thanks for sharing).
Am I the only one that has a problem with how much effort and attention they give to crap like the stadion? To me they’ve the focus on the absolute wrong things. Especially considering that basically half of the game is either still a construction site or gets completely neglected.
I’ve watched the stream and alone how they’re talking about how much detail they’ve put into the fireworks box prop is mindblowing. Hearing that we’ll get even more extended nights just to show that dragon makes me want to throw up.
This is a game revolving around cars and not a light or drone show showcase. For christ sake!
Though I’m not a fan of the extended (now extended-extended nights ) nor am I a fan of drifting, I do appreciate the effort to bring some new “content” into the game as a way to refresh the feel of it in line with celebrations such as this & recently with Christmas & Día de Los Muertos in Mulegé.
Then let me ask you. Would you rather prefer to have them adding permanently availble things like new tracks for all types of races, new drift zones and so on or timely limited ones like we see with the stadion?
Five new street racing tracks plus the Midnight stuff. That’s 10 or so in what? Two years? Sorry, but I’m not impressed.
We also can’t really talk about balancing here anyway. Like said this stadion and some other stuff is a one season thing that maybe won’t even reused ever again. Alone therefore it’s a waste of time that could be used to add permantently available things or actually fixing the game in my opinion.
I spent a few hours with the 05+ this morning, and I like several of the A800 builds, but none of them are able to keep up with my Rivian lap times, let alone X-Class, etc. like you said, no tire profile option is a killer. would allow for additional power on the engine upgrade, or weight reduction to help with the 60% front.
racing V12 was the best, had similar results with different aero packages and stock trans is good even for auto. lighter build with max upgrade stock engine was ok for dirt. I didn’t try the rally engine because it looked like the weakest option and I’m tired of that swap anyway.
i can’t find anywhere to squeeze in a clean time, but it’s one of the best SUV, and performed well on Titan.
