Losing your skill chain when rear-ended is super frustrating!

It ticks me off when I have a good skill chain going on, but when hit from behind by another car, you automatically lose your accumulated points. Anyone else annoyed by this, and could this be fixed in a later update? Maybe i’m the only one who this bothers, but i’d like to hear what others think. Thanks for reading

Fixed? How?

I am happy with it the way it is. If i lose a skill chain for any reason i usually dont care.

If its for a BM challenge then i try harder next time, ie increasr my lead if that is what is needed and yes it is possible.

I second this. Over level 500, over 300 skill points banked, all possible cars in my garage and nearing 20 mill in the bank. I don’t even care about skill songs / chains anymore.

I stopped playing when found out that you can wall slide in any corner and win the race…

It’s not as easy as it sounds…

… you also don’t need to resort to this. First of all, there aren’t too many walls to use for this in this game. Second, it’s really easy to get the win anyways.

If you’re losing your skill chain because you are rear ended and it’s by a drivatar then increase your lead. Unfortunately, the easiest way to do this is to use more “motorsport” tactics as opposed to skill chains to increase your lead. Or get a better build and drive better.

If you’re being rear ended by real people, it always helps to have a microphone. It may have been an accident or it may have been on purpose because, you know – some people take pleasure in that sort of thing. Microphones help.

In any case, a skill chain is maintained only through “somewhat clean racing” which means avoiding contact with other cars and objects. Being rear ended is the same as rear ending someone as far as skill chains go.

I thought the wall cheat was fixed in an update, was it not? I love this game, by the way and have spent far too many hours playing. By far my favourite ‘car game’ to date. Looking forward to new cars being added to the lineup.

Thanks for the input. Much appreciated.

I think being t-boned on U bends/hairpins are the worst. Mostly by jealous people who can’t keep up taking corners without smashing someone.

Most the time I just end up blocking them for half the race. My cars are very quick for C,B and A. So it really messes them up.

There is a racing series in real life, where one of the rules is if you are involved in an accident during a race, whether it was your fault or not, both/all drivers involved are black flagged for a period of time. They literally say in the rules “Don’t whine, drive better and stay out of peoples way. Think you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time? That’s life, deal with it.”

Typically, I just do Blueprint races. That way I have more laps to complete the skill and don’t have to fight for first place simultaneously.
